Hey guys, when I heard about airsoft more than 6 months ago now i am very intrested. As being only 14 I looked at a load of laws n' regulations, which later said I could do airsoft

I have an "Airsoft 101" Series pistol, which was quite cheap and bought for more as a toy than anything else.

I've heard of people doing airsoft on a low budget, and have heard different things, so question 1..

Is it possible to wear your own clothes to airsoft, for example combats, or strong boots?? or do they need to be special?

Second, I bought this airsoft 101 gun foreign, and it probably wasnt intended for the sport itself.. but would I be able to use it? It has no fps on its package so I cant measure the energy it puts out.

Third, I've been to the strike arms airsoft store, and am amazed by the weapons Im looking for a Machine gun and have been looking at the AK and M4's but dont know what to pick. Any tips on spring vs gas vs electric? Which is best, and which is cheapest?

Also, I've been thinking about playing in Red barn. Anyone heard of this, or know if its good?

Also, do people usually use sidearms or is only one gun allowed per game/respawn?

There's no need for special clothes; camouflage helps on many sites when you want to hide, but it's not at all necessary. Good boots are pretty important because of the type of running about on the type of terrain, but they're not usually mandatory (although they are in Red Barn).

You'll be able to measure it when you go to play as each site has its own chrono, but you're probably right about it being rubbish. Get a decent gun and you'll have much more fun.

You'll want to go electric, no doubt about it. Choose primarily based on look and feel - they're all pretty similar when it comes down to it, so the one that gets you most excited about how cool it is is probably the one to go for. That's not to say there's no crap out there, so talk to the guys at the shop before you decide.

Red Barn is a lovely site, although pretty crowded these days. Try out a few sites and see what suits you best.

Some people carry sidearms, but they don't often get used. There's usually no limit on numbers of guns, although you can only really use one at a time so there's not much call for a second in general circumstances.
