Unflavoured Casein Protein

Hifolks i have a large quantit of casein protein that I intend to use. It is unflavoured however.

Can people recommend anytin that i can use to put a bit of flovour into the shakes\??

Cocoa + sweetener + casein + milk + bowl + spoon = total win.

You can sub nesquik for the cocoa + sweetener bit if you like. More calories though.

i prefer to make my shakes with water though. have you any suggestions of what products to use for cocoa and swetener??

Cocoa plus coffee equals true chocolate flavour. Make a smooth paste with cocoa powder, sweetener and coffee, and use a dollop whenever you need to add a chocolate flavour.

www.myprotein.co.uk also does little bags of flavouring for adding to protein powders.

Vanilla extract is also good for adding flavour.

Cocoa you can buy in the supermarket. Should be near the hot chocolate.

Sweetener: I use crushed sweetener tablets. Lidls do 1200 for 1.50 or so.

I wouldn't be making a shake with that by the way....it'd be more something you'd eat with a spoon. Casein really thickens things up. You could sub milk for water alright. Not gonna taste as nice.

If I was just going for a shake I'd go probably with nesquik and water. It's convenient.

I haven't tried it with caesin, but for unflavoured whey I find a spoonful of sugar improves the taste sufficiently

Casein is also great for making protein muffins/breads. I'm working on a recipe for casein and aubergine torte as we speak.

I have "black star labs" strawberry flavouring and it is nice, myprotein and bulkpowders do flavouring systems.

To make it tasteless you can simply hold your nose when drinking it, or not breath in through your nose if you are able to do it. I do not like luke warm unflavoured whey, but if I am in a rush I can just down it in one while not breathing through my nose and drink some water after to wash it all down.

With flavouring and ice you can put it in a blender and it froths up and is really nice. I have one of these and they are great

I accidentally bought unflavoured casein few weeks ago meaning to click on flavoured. At first the taste was rank. After about a week though it's grand, I can just down it in one and it isn't that bad. happy hunting
