    Actually it's ESB Networks who perform disconnections, regardless of whether your account is with Airtricity, Bord Gais, or ESB Customer Supply. So the article isn't entirely wrong.

    ESB Networks have to disconnect if asked to by any energy provider. They are independent and have nothing to do with an individual case - they just do what they are requested to do.
