Preserving muscle whilst on holiday

    HI,

I'm off on holiday for 3 weeks and I want to minimise muscle wastage. I'll be hiking and walking about seeing sights, but I'll not have any access to gyms.

What can I do to minimise muscle deterioration whilst away?

    Many thanks,

Eat loads. Particularly protein. Other than that try finding some body weight exercises you can do while you are away.

Stay active, keep calories around maintenance. Unless you are close to 3% bodyfat, you don't lose muscle that easily unless you are confined to bed.

A few sets of press-ups, squats and pull-ups every day will help remind your body why you need the muscles.
