Every year we love our football bets and our hairbrain schemes

A 1/2 1/3 double is even money. Do this 10 times and you have €5000 from a €5

    Starting with

    Southampton 1/2
    Everton 1/2
    Lyon 1/3
    Spratak Moscow 1/3

    Sounds easy doesn't it

sounds easy in theory but when one team lets you down (which is inevitable) you are left with zero.

Very bad start, might get easier as the season goes on and the home/away form starts to show.

    Will try again 2 moro.

You can use this method to build up a bit of cash if you really do your homework on the selections. I do it at times. Usually around 20 or 30 euro stakes. Sometimes more. But it would not be wise to keep on betting your winnings on it. One team will mess it up and you'll end up with nothing.

key here is to look to 2way outcomes, eg draw no bet, asian handicaps, over/unders maybe even double chance if the price is right.

Also try and stick to doubles at most.

Im gonna try this, with one or two alterations.
Im gonna pick 3 teams at odds of 1/1, 4/5, 4/6.
Im gonna place two seperate bets of £25 on this treble
    on week one.
If it loses, repeat on week two.
If it wins, pocket one of the trebles (£150), and let the
other £150 ride on the following week. If you string three
winning weeks together, you have your prize of £5400.
If you win only one week, you cover your stake for the
three weeks. Just keep trying till you hit. :)

Villa to beat newcastle, united to beat fulham, and liverpool to beat trabonzpor or whatever.

    25 pays 187.50.

    If that takes your fancy.

It all sounds so easy, doesn't it? Too easy.

I'll try it though, but I won't be risking everything on each bet. I will bank a fraction of my winnings after each win.

I'll try it too for the craic, it's achievable IMO.

I'll give it a go. For no particular reason, PP gave me €5 freebet yesterday.

Feckers never give me any free bets. :pac:

I'll be starting it at the weekend, can't pick my nose at the moment though.

It was only for games, but I doubled up a couple of times on blackjack so I have it in my sportsbook now. I'm not really sure how it worked.

Never got a free bet either the ****.. I'm up for giving this a go as well but with a slight altercation. Never liked doing short trebles and the like so going to pick one bet at around 1/1 and have the 10 bets with that.Good luck to everyone, will be interesting to see if anyone gets it.

    Right gonna do this myself.

    Rd 1 - Liverpool and Ajax, 5er pays 16.49

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,288 ✭✭✭fkiely

If you're going to do 10 bets why not add another 8 on and go for the €1.3 million jackpot.....

    Nice, 2-0 up!

I put my first on Malmo last night and Sevilla tonight btw. Sevilla 0-0, Malmo won.

Edit: There goes my first attempt at the first hurdle!

im going to give this a shot too . going to go with the 2 trebs for the first week and let one keep rolling over till i have enough to buy liverpool .. 200 quid :D:D

just had a quick look motherwell vs celtic away 8/15 sunderland vs man city away 5/6 blackburn vs arsenal away 4/7 the treble pays a little less than 7/2 3.42

i think everton are a big price 19/10 away to villa . what do you think

Week one... my 3 selections are

    Huddersfield 11/10
    Ipswich 5/6
    Bradford 8/11

    Returns €166. x 2

Will place 2 seperate bets of €25 on this treble.

thats an awful price on city imo
sunder only lost at home last season to chels utd and villa so id
be wanting odds against at least.
I wouldnt say arsenal are nailed on either at the price.
i am doing crap so far this season though
my treble last weekend of burnl/cardiff and southampton said it all

i love the look of chelsea -2 v stoke at around 5/6
even spurs -2 v wigan at 6/4...a repeat of last year probably
    unlikely though
