hey im moving to galway soon and was considering joining a vol org. Thing is i may be there for 3 months or a year i just dont know. Is there any point joining for such a short period? Whats the training like for these i.e. how many nights a week what times typically? ill be working nights. im interested in the medical side of things.

should i hang on till im more settled or go for it?
any recommendations for which to join?

    thanks in advance

they mainly train on weekday nights, once a week. you could show up and give it a shot. if you find out your only there for 3 months then just be a casual member and attend what you can.

Galway City Civil Defence meet every Monday night (excluding Bank Holidays) at 8pm at the back of Galway Fire Station The entrance is on the Claddagh Quay road.

    This too shall pass.
