In before "is this what my TV license is paying for?" argument.

Ah well. I knew this sh*t would happen. Blah blah blah, Americanisation blah blah blah Simpsons, blah blah coke blah blah blah Starbucks.

    Another reason I feel smug I don't watch de'telly.

Find out what happens next week when Louise realises she's received a mini cooper for her birthday, but the interior is the wrong colour!

RTE get in on the trend right as the trend ends. Typical really. A bit of original programming wouldn't go amiss.

I just feel sorry for whoever these girls are. They'll be unmercifully slagged.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 10,431 ✭✭✭✭Saibh

Would have expected TV3 to broadcast something like this and not RTE... waste of airtime.

In fairness, while for most of us this will be utter sihte, its going to get the ratings from all the girls longing to lead this sort of lifestyle.

So in a sense, its probably a good move for rte (granted, an unoriginal one)

"The show will focus around Assets beauty Vogue Wilson (24)"

THAT'S IT! I give up on humanity!

So basically... a reality tv show about young wans trying to over hype there sense of self worth and relentless gossiping?

Yeah... there's definately some outstanding progamming going on there...

Boards.ie are going to have to buy new servers for the amount of discussion this program will generate. I can picture it now " The Super Mega Fade Street Thread". It will be thousands of pages long full of hate, love and nonsense. What a time to be alive!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 916 ✭✭✭Bloody Nipples

Well I'll be watching it anyway.

Aye. To witness the decline of mankind. It was inevitable I suppose. I refer to the kiddies today not utilising the full scope of the keyboard that's there, right there, right under your nose, with ALL THOSE LETTERS!

    But yeah, we're f*cked.

If you can't beat em, like, you know? OMG! Wanna have a DMC? Like, lol. OMG, ha-hawhawhaw.

Rehashing ideas thought-up by networks in other countries? Certainly sounds like RTE, but definitely not genius.

EDIT: Nah, just Irish programming in general!

Remind me about the law on TV license fees if I don't have a TV.

Do I really have to pay the six-figure salaries of beautiful imbeciles from D4 if I don't have an idiot box?

I barely made it 20 seconds into that video and I had to stop it.

Both actors, the script writer, director and whoever uploaded that abomination should be lined up against a wall and paddled... severely.

UPDATE: Made it about half way through this time.... the guy hits the nail right on the fúcking head :P

Yeah, i noticed this too. As a nation, we seem to be about 5 years behind everyone else in everything TV related.

The worst thing about this show? It'll be plonked into a primetime slot and will have great viewer numbers because Irish viewers absolutely devour crappy homemade reality-TV nonsense. Guess that has something to do with the majority of original homemade drama and comedy being very poor.

Just buy more shows from the US. They know how to do TV properly.

lets hope the hardy bucks will be decent and not completly ruined by the national broadcaster

Indeed. If the RTE channels were subscriptions channels like SKY et al, i sure sure as **** wouldn't be paying for them. They're utter rubbish.

Shame we're being held to ransom with the TV tax.

"Oh my gwad! i cant't find my new Uggs, quick hop into
the carr and we'll take Daddys credit card to Dun drum"

Mindless puke for the Autumn Season line up. Thank God for UPC
(never thought i'd say that) i avoid RTE.
