    5) Fulham vs. Man United.
Man United to win, or draw. @1.16.

    6) West Ham vs. Bolton.
    Bolton Draw No Bet. @2.37.

    7) Arsenal vs. Blackpool.
    Arsenal to win. @1.18.

I can't believe that Villa are nearly 2.50 against Newcastle, albeit playing away.

    West Ham v Bolton
    2.25----3.25---3.25
Odds madness unless I've missed something.

I can do you one better. Arsenal -1 at half-time @ 15/8. Might be worth an investment, I'll be doing that one myself

Fulham @ 11-2 are a good bet. Utd have lost there in the past 2 seasons and with Rooney firing blanks, you never know.

Make the game a bit interesting anyways.

Premier League: Brimingham v Blacburn - draw
    Championship: QPR to beat Scunthorpe
League 1: Notts County to beat Dagenham & Redbridge
League 2: Shrewsbury to beat Aldershot
    SPL: Rangers to beat Hibs

    £5 Accumulator at 28+/1.

£10 on over 13 corners in the Arsenal v Blackpool match at 2/1.

    These things keep Saturdays interesting!

I'm thinking Stoke City are possibly worth a few quid at home against Spurs, 3.35 on betfair.
Spurs were poor during the week against Young Boys and have quite a few injuries.

Jones for Stoke is doubtful, might wait and see the team sheets first.

3 of the 4 Spurs strikers who featured in midweek picked up knocks so I heard.

Stoke are certainly worth a few bob.

+1 on this, I believe Defoe, Modric, Keane and Pav are all injured. And those who aren't are probably feeling the effects of the midweek game relative to Stoke.

Like this. Haven't got the balls for both to win outright though :p

Both Villa and Spurs coming back from being away in Europe during the week. Playing two teams who will be looking to prove themselves after a poor start for both of them last week.

    Arsenal - Blackpool

Can see a complete return to reality for Blackpool today at the Emirates. Even with their injury problems Arsenal can still field an impressive side and at times last weekend played some good football. Blackpool had a fantastic result last week but were certainly made to look good by how truly awful Wigan were. Blackpool are the exact type of side Arsenal love to carve open.

Arsenal to keep a clean sheet @ 10/11
    Arsenal -2 @ 6/4

    Stoke - Tottenham

I can see a surprise result here today. Spurs will have one eye on the massive game mid week and may indeed rest a few players for this. Crouch is the only fit first squad striker today and is the type of striker Stoke are well capable of dealing with. Jones could be back for Stoke and considering how impressive they are at home the price on offer is quite tempting.

    Stoke @ 11/5

    Birmingham - Blackburn

Quite fancy the draw here. Two impotent teams essentially and it really shouldn't be classic. The under's market isn't great so I'll plump for the draw at that price.

    Draw @ 9/4

    been sent this

    Wigan v Chelsea
Sat 21st Aug, 5.15pm - Live on Sky Sports 2
    Ref: M.Dean
Both teams' games saw plenty of goals on the opening day last
weekend. Wigan lost 4-0 at home to Premier League newcomers
Blackpool, while Chelsea dished out a 6-0 beating to newly-promoted
    West Brom.
    • Chelsea were the Premier League's joint-top away scorers last
season with 35 goals scored. Their away games averaged 2.7 Total
      Goals
    • Bets on Over 2.5 Goals paid out in 63% of Chelsea's away games
      last season
    • Both Wigan v Chelsea games went Over 2.5 Goals in 2009/10 -
Wigan beat Chelsea 3-1 at the DW Stadium but Chelsea got their
revenge with an 8-0 hammering to win the league on the final day of
      the season
Stan James, Skybet and Blue Square make it 4/6 (1.67) for another
Over 2.5 Goals game on Saturday.
Chelsea are just 1/5 (1.20) to win their first away game. Last
season 7 of Chelsea's 10 away wins were by more than 1 goal - at
Stan James Chelsea are 8/11 (1.73) with a -1 Match Handicap.

    Newcastle Utd v Aston Villa
Sun 22nd Aug, 1.30pm - Live on ESPN
    Ref: M.Atkinson
Aston Villa racked up a huge corner total in their 3-0 win over West
Ham last weekend. Villa won 16 corners on their own - and there were
    23 Total Corners.
    • Bets on Over 10.5 Corners paid out in 61% of Newcastle games
      in The Championship last season
    • Aston Villa were the Premier League's most reliable team for
'high' Total Corners bets last season, with 81% of all games and 84%
      of away games
paying out on Over 10.5 Corners
Different bookies offer different Total Corners bets. Expekt and
Extrabet will have Over 10.5 Corners markets this weekend.
Total Corners bets are also available for all live games at Skybet,
Bet365, Paddy Power, Blue Square, 888 Sport, Betfred, Stan James,
William Hill, Coral and on Betfair.

    Fulham v Man Utd
Sun 22nd Aug, 4pm - Live on Sky Sports 1
    Ref: P.Walton
Fulham started the new season with a goalless draw at Bolton last
weekend, while Man Utd beat Newcastle 3-0 - with the First Goal
scored in the 33rd minute by Dimitar Berbatov.
    • In Fulham home games last season, the average First Goal Time
      was 39 minutes
    • In Man Utd away games the average First Goal Time was 44
      minutes
    • The average First Goal Time in the Premier League last season
      was 33 minutes
Most bookies bet on the Time of First Goal 'Before' or 'After' the
    27th or 28th minute.
Paddy Power have the best (lowest) option on offer for Fulham v Man
Utd - where 'After 25th Minute' is available at 10/11.

The top trends for EVERY team...
I'll also be looking out for these 'top trends' this weekend...
    Arsenal v Blackpool
Arsenal won the Most Corners in 17 of their 19 home games last
season (89%), and averaged 3.9 corners per game more than opponents.
    • The bookies will be giving Arsenal a big Corner Handicap for
this one (a -5 Corner Handicap would mean Arsenal have to win at
least 6 corners more than Blackpool)
    Birmingham v Blackburn
The average First Goal Time in Birmingham home games last season was
a high 46 minutes, and the average for Blackburn away games was 41
    mins.
    • Stan James offer bets on 'After 27th Minute'
    West Brom v Sunderland
Sunderland have three strong trends from last season that all
continued on the opening weekend. They received the Most Booking
    Points
in 60% of games and 84% of away games last season, and the
First Goal was scored 'Before 28th Minute' in 74% of games. Darren
    Bent
scored half of all his team's goals - and was the First
    Goalscorer
14 times, more than any other Premier League player.
    • William Hill offer bets on the team with the Most Booking
      Points
and Bet365 run a similar market called Card Handicap
    • Blue Square and 888 Sport offer bets on Time of First Goal
      'Before 33rd Minute'
    • Darren Bent is 15/8 with Coral to Score Anytime and 11/2 to be
      First Goalscorer
    West Ham v Bolton
West Ham's opponents received the First Card in 79% of home games
last season and the Most Booking Points in 74%. Bolton's figures
were the opposite - they received the First Card in 68% of away
games and the Most Booking Points in 74%.
    • William Hill offer First Card and Most Booking Points markets.
And Bet365 have First Card and Card Handicap bets

Done a Sunday TV double (wrong reason to back but as the Sky ad goes, it matters more when theres money on it).

    Aston Villa @ 6-4 and Fulham @ 5-1 pays 14-1. PP

Newcastle will be buzzing it being their first home game but Villa look pretty good. Fancy Downing to score too. Fulham have a great record against Utd at Craven Cottage having beaten them comfortably there the last 2 seasons and at 5-1 is a great little bet. I wouldnt touch Utd @ 8-13 in this.

Considering that 2 seasons ago, we were on the back of a 4-1 thrashing to Liverpool, Rooney was out of sorts and we just were beginning to falter at the end of the season going away to a well managed team by Hodgeson...

And last season, we had Fletcher and Carrick in defence with no threat up front and a joke of a game, which I look back on as the game that cost us the title, and again managed by Hodgeson...

    Now however,

Sparky is just in there new, so needs time to settle. Goalkeeper is likely to be Stockdale, United on the back of a comfortabe 3-0 win, Hernandez added to the team, no major injury worries, although Rio will be out.

If you're banking on the last two visits to Craven Cottage as your reasoning to back Fulham, then you're a fair way off the full shilling mate. And, prior the 2-0 loss two years ago, we'd thrashed them 4-0 at the Cottage in the FA Cup...

As for my bets, thinking Rooney first goalscorer with United 3-0. Looking tasty at the moment on PP.

Keep comments like this to yourself in future and have a bit of cop on.

That's perfectly valid reasoning, teams struggle against a certain team. (Arsenal vs Bolton etc..)

Take off those red tinted specs.
