    What a fun idea!

    this handsome devil is Scamp.
    s_2588.jpg
(He's cuter with his ears down)

He is a 12 year old Jack RusselxCairn Terrier (possibly a bit of Corgi too). He is actually the world's worst dog. Ever. But he's my dog so I'm the only person who is allowed to say that.

He obeys no commands except "Bold dog! Go to your basket!". He is afriad of the washer, the drier, the oven (it's not even loud) and the noise of his tag if it hits anything yet he often tries to attack the hoover, the post as it comes through the door, and cattle. He still occasionally wees when guests arrive and his favourite place to be is anywhere you will trip over him. He has a gammy right paw from when he more or less ran into a moving car as a pup and he is starting to go blind.
Still he's my Scamp <3 and you have to admit, he is adorable.

Aww... Ruby is so cute! Is she an English Springer Spaniel?

I haven't had any pets for years, but I once had a dog of the same breed by the name of Bran! Here's a photo of the little fellow:

    bran-1.jpg

Loved that guy! I used to spend almost all of my time with him when I was 11. Sadly, he was stolen a little over a year after we got him. On the same day I taught him how to fetch, and everything. :(

I had some amazing adventures with him, like chasing around my neighbourhood on one snowy winter evening, or cutting newly-trod paths through Currabinny Woods' undergrowth. Hopefully he's still having fun, wherever he is.

    Aw,that's terrible!What kind of horrible person steals a pet.

Ruby is indeed a Springer Spaniel. My dad goes hunting so she's going to be a gundog, but I've taught her a few tricks.I'm very proud of her ability to give high fives.:D

    Love the thread! :D
Arra My bitchs' name is Jessie and we got her from the shelter back in 2006 and shes just 5 now :) Before we got her she was run over by a car and now her right knee cap will click in and out randomly when she runs/jumps and her pelvis isnt the best but shes not in pain and she can run fine without limping. Shes a bit of a freak that when shes out she loves sewerage/sea/rainwater more then fresh but she has a bowl of milk each day too :P Shes a complete indoor dog(but the backdoor is always open), she gets her 2 hours off the lead each day but she gets bored after a minute..
She flushes out frogs, kills them and eats a bit of them >.<
But shes the dotiest thing ever, whenever she sees people she'll fall down on her back for a tummy rub and shes always going asleep on her bed and chairs etc
I tried finding proper pics of her but theyre all of her lying down :P Coz thats all she does the lazy lump :L

This is Alex. :) Sorry I couldn't get more photos, he's camera shy. He's the best pet rock a man could have, he'll go anywhere with you! He is also very low-maintenance, and doesn't annoy the neighbours. They stare though when we play catch. :(

I have lots of doggies so this could take a while :p

    Diesel.png

This is Diesel, our first doggie. She's a rescue dog and was due to be put down the day we got here. Mum couldn't let her be put down so she got here, even though we had absolutely nothing for her and had never had a dog before. She's the happiest dog who just loves to run around. She's also a great mummy, never had pups but she looks after all our younger dogs and looks after us too.

    Logan.png

This is my Logan, he's also a rescue dog but he had a really bad home before us so he as some anger issues but not with us. He's really a lovable bear who stands on his back legs and gives proper big hugs. He's also able to round up sheep, we only know because he ran into a field one day and rounded all the sheep up and then sat beside the gate. He used to be terrified of cars and lorries but now he has conquered his fear and likes to chase them instead. He's mine and I love him to bits.

    Pippa.png

This is Pippa, our first pure breed that mum shows. She's gorgeous and loves to lick everything in sight. Hopefully next time she goes into heat, she will be having pups, I seriously can't wait. Mini Pippas will be adorable. She also like pretending to be a pillow, until she wants to get up, then no one is allowed to sleep as she licks your face until you get up.

    Alpha-1.png

This is Alpha, our second sheltie. He's only like 10 months old and loves playing, Diesel has her paws full with him. He really likes being all floppy and sleepy and doesn't like waking up in the morning so cuddles up to whoever is closest for a few more minutes sleep.

    Benji.png

And this is Benji, our most recent addition. He's Alpha's half brother and he is ridiculously fluffy. He's a little teddy bear, who had just won a show in this picture. He's on the way to Crufts next year and we're all proud of him.

    AlphaandPippa.png

Lastly, this is a really cute picture of Alpha and Pippa in mum and dad's campervan. Look at Pippa's tiny tiny little paws, seriously, they're so adorable.

We also have 4 cats but I think that's enough pictures from me. I obsess over my dogs and I'm going to miss them so much when I move back to Cork for college.

    Also, awesome thread :)

As per SarahBeep!'s request, we have the kitty cat pictures. I can't be bothered uploading them all. So I just took them directly off the computer.

The tabby was my cat, Joey, he died a few years ago, but he was a great cat. He was always really well behaved but really stupid. He had a tendency to run into doors and chair legs and he was terrified of birds. He was a dope but an adorable dope.

The white one is KC, she was found up in Kerry. She talks constantly, telling you all the stories of her adventures outside.

Phoebe is the tabby and white. He's actually a boy but the vet got it wrong and he learnt the name Phoebe so we just left it. He's our no nonsense, tough cat. No one argues with Phoebe, probably from being bullied as a kitten for having a girls name.

The black one is Miner, my brother's cat. Another outdoorsy cat, he grew up on the streets and my brother found him out side his work and brought him to the vet.

The black and white one is Spike, my brother's other cat. He still acts like a lanky teenager at times but he's slowly calming down from his kitteny days. But as soon as he sees my brother, he turns into a kitten all over again.

So they are all the animals of the house. Its a crazy amount I know, but I really wouldn't have it any other way, they're awesome pets

This is one of my cats, Towku. We named him after a meerkat on the discovery channel! I have two other cats aswell: Lady and Bow.

I love them all but Bow is definitely my favourite, she loves getting her tummy rubbed and she follows me everywhere. To the extent that when I go out for a walk I have to get my mam to bring her inside or else she'll follow me down the road. So much <3 for that cat!

    Greatest. Thread. Ever.

    blaze1.jpg

This is Blaze, when he was a little puperoo (he's now a 4 year old fluffy monster). Twas love at first sight! My sister's friend's border collie had a litter, and when we went to pick one, all of them came running towards us with their little high pitched yelps. My sister fell in love with a tiny, pure black bitch who fell asleep on her shoulder and was dead set on getting her, as was I, until I saw the fluffiest thing in the history of fluff sitting in a corner, looking down at the floor really sadly, sighing. We thought he was the quietest one.. oh how wrong we were. He's actually cracked. But in a hilarious way. He's so clever too! He can do a bunch of stuff, but the cutest thing is when he speaks on command and then 'whispers'.. the quietest little bark! He has a doggy friend who lives in a house overlooking this field, and when you say 'we gonna go see Speedy?' he goes nuts crying. When you let him off his lead at the field, he'll run into the garden of Speedy's house and barks 'til the owners let him out!

And I'm gonna stop now, cause I could go on for years, but yay Blaze!

Ok, I've talked enough about my doggies on this :P But I have an excuse here to talk more :D

This... 37987_1544372293747_1368200296_1471386_3590349_n.jpg is our little Daisy :P She's about a year and a half maybe (just guessing here) And my sister got her when she was so small she could fit in your hand and she pooped as soon as she ate cos her body was too small to hold it. She used to fall asleep curled in my lap, now she's too hyper for anything like that. She's always running about and when you ask her where her ball is she scampers off to find it and play :) She loves the back garden and whenever you call her in, she runs around so you have to chase her in :P She's also a bit of a sly one, she's always stealing my socks from my room, which results in me chasing her down the hall and up the stairs and wrestling it off her :P So much love for her though :D

And this... 34610_1526031315234_1368200296_1425792_798306_n.jpg is Lily :D She's about 2 and half, and we got her off some people in Cavan :P She loves her comfort, and likes nothing more than to be curled up on your bed :P (Her one isn't good enough) She loves watching telly, if there's animals on it, and loves watching videos of dogs on youtube, and tries to talk back to them , bless her! :P

Both Daisychain and Lilypad are the bestest doggies in the whole wide world (for me) and I love them to bits :D (even if they don't reciprocate most of the time :P)

Aw everyone's pets are so purty :D

Well I've got 2 kittehs at the moment - Shadow and Neelix.

Shadow is a bit of a monstrosity of a cat - he's often mistaken for a small dog :p We got him about 8 years ago off my friend. She had nicknamed him "Fat Head" cause of his eh, fat head at the time but we quickly renamed him Shadow, after Shadow from Sonic The Hedgehog. He's definitely the dominant male between the two and is incredibly attention seeking >_< He's so awesome though - all soft and fluffy :)

    SDC12969.jpg?t=1282325007

    SDC12976.jpg?t=1282325030

Neelix is a total scaredy cat. He'll run away from you if you approach him too suddenly and doesn't really like to be picked up but he loves a good rub :) We got him at the same time as Shadow - he was actually born under a tree in our garden. We came back from holidays one Summer to find 3 kittens and a mommy cat living there :p Neelix was one of those kittens! He's named after a character in Star Trek >_<

    SDC12977.jpg?t=1282325051

    SDC12980.jpg?t=1282325052

And a little bit of kitteh love <3

Yeah, that keeps happening around where we walk our dogs. Most them don't mind but Diesel gets terrified. She keeps refusing to get out of the car when she hears it. She gets really terrified and shakes all over. I feel so bad for her.

I've posted this picture before, but it's the only decent one I've been able to get of my dog.

    6C929337CEC6461D935C302AACC4A063-500.jpg

This is Jake, we got him way back in 1999 when he was about 18 months, we're not sure. He was found in very bad condition wandering the streets of Wicklow town, our neighbour's son found him, and gave him to her. He kept coming through the fence and she let us keep him. He was absolutely terrified when we got him. Constantly shook, but he's possibly the happiest dog now, he just wants to sit on your lap and sleep all day. He's getting old now though, and can't handle long walks, 20 minutes and he's wrecked.

He is also a pathetic excuse for a dog. He's afraid of everything. He once growled at a cat, who then hissed at him, and he ran away. Last week he got scared by a leaf. Although, that doesn't stop his battles with other animals. He has an ongoing losing war with a hedgehog, frog and birds that come into our garden, but he never gives up. <3

I spotted this in the Irish Examiner recently and thought the other pet owners here would like it :)

    Ten Commandments for Animals
    1. Place your trust in me and I will always trust you back.
    2. Don't be angry with me for long. Don't lock me up as punishment. I'm not capable of understanding why. I only know I've been rejected.
    3. You have your work, entertainment and prayers, I only have you.
    4. Talk to me sometimes. Even if I don't understand your words, I understand your voice and your tone. You only have to look at my tail.
    5. Please be aware that whatever way you treat me, i will never forget it, and if it's cruel, it may affect me forever.
    6. Please don't hit me, I can't hit back. I only bite or scratch, and I really don't ever want to do that.
    7. Before you scold me for being uncooperative, obstinate or lazy, ask yourself if there might be something wrong with me - perhaps I'm not getting the right food, or maybe I've been out un the sun too long. Or maybe my heart is getting old and weak or maybe I'm just dog tired!
    8. Take care of me when I get old. You too will grow old and will also need love, care, comfort and attention.
    9. Go with me on my difficult journeys. Never say "I can't bear to watch" or let it happen in your absence. Everything is easier fir me when you're there.
    10. Remember, irrespective of what you do, I will always love you.

Oh oh I never saw this afore!

    Here goes.. I've a few...

    Ok:

    25591_1251374136751_1601448416_30558946_7910490_n.jpg

    That's Roxy and Tuck.
Tuck's the cat - he's 3 years old now and he's as annoying as ever but I loves him! His hobbies include jumping in the house's window, making his way to the kitchen and eating any baking/food that he finds. He also enjoys sitting on window-sills and teasing Roxy 'cos she can't jump as high as he can.

Roxy is my doggy. She's a labraterrier as I call her. Everyone asks how big she's gonna get but that's all she's gonna be! She's a lovely dog but she's sooooooooo hyper, it's unreal. She's a tough dog and doesn't afraid of anything ever. She even likes fireworks - tough little raaawr so she is!

    Here's another of Tuck:

    25591_1251369576637_1601448416_30558925_5857726_n.jpg

This is Harriet and Henrietta (I don't know why they're called that.. my mammy's doing).

    25591_1251374376757_1601448416_30558951_8273912_n.jpg

They're ducks if it wasn't obvious. They're trouble makers too and like to eat clothes.

    25591_1251374616763_1601448416_30558956_117726_n.jpg

^-- That's one of our chickens. We have like 9 and they're all more like pets than chickens! I think that's Ms. Polly but I'm unsure! :P The chickens like to follow me around 'cos I think I'm their god or something like that..

    30311_1261171901689_1601448416_30575709_5879991_n.jpg

^-- That's my baby kitty! :) Her name's Roisin and Bob 'cos my little brother thinks that it's a boy but it's not. She's Tuck's best friend and they go on adventures together and like to annoy Roxy in their spare time!

This is one of the many baby chicks that we have! They're a lot bigger now though, this was like ~4 weeks ago. I loves them 'cos they chirp at me and make happy sounds and stuff!

Yep, those blackish, brownish gingery type cats are tortoiseshells, they're also called Money cats and are suppose to bring good luck.

...Me knowing this in no way makes me a crazy cat lady.

What a great idea for a thread! I love anything that allows me to show off my little baby beagle (ok she'll be a year old next month but she's still my pupsy wupsy- and yes I do talk to her like that)

When she was a very little puppy:

The very first day we brought her home- she looks so sad and all alone!

Sulking because I gave out to her for chewing me

I spotted this in the Irish Examiner recently and thought the other pet owners here would like it :)

    Ten Commandments for Animals
    1. Place your trust in me and I will chew whatever you have entrusted me with.
    2. Don't be angry with me for long. Don't lock me up as punishment. If I'm locked up I can't chew your shoes :(
    3. You have your work, entertainment and prayers, I only have food.
    4. Talk to me sometimes. Even if I don't understand your words, I understand your voice, your tone and the sound of my bowl being filled. You only have to look at my tail.
    5. Please be aware that whatever way you treat me, i will never forget it, and will make your life a living hell if I don't get my way.
    6. Please don't hit me, I can't hit back. I only bite or scratch, and I really love doing that.
    7. Before you scold me for being uncooperative, obstinate or lazy, ask yourself if there might be something wrong with you, perhaps you're not rubbing my tummy enough or giving me enough praise.
    8. Take care of me when I get old. You too will grow old and I will still dmeand all your attention.
    9. Go with me on my difficult journeys. Never say "I can't bear to watch" or let it happen in your absence. Everything is less scary when you're there.
    10. Remember, irrespective of what you do, I will always chew your shoes.

I've fixed this so it more accurately reflects my dog's attitude to life.

This is a photo from the last time it snowed of my dog Buddy... 3/4 Jack Russell 1/4 collie. Hes basically a Jack Russell with super-canine jumping ability.

This is my dog Max. He's four years old, and we got him when my aunt's dog Lassie had pups (:

I love him to bits; he's my little baby! He's unbelievably fluffy, like unbelievably ^_^ He is really lazy as well, and spends most of his day stretched out beside the door. And he makes the cutest little noises when he's happy <3 I miss him so much when I'm in Maynooth, he's always the first thing I ask about when my mammy rings :P

Since I haven't posted here before, my (well, my mother's really) dog Sooty.
I named him after that Sooty puppet by mistake, I realised a few weeks later that the black one was Sweep and Sooty was orange :pac:

The wooden thing in the top one I think was part of a kennel or something, but the kennel absolutely terrified him so we got rid of it and just started leaving the shed door open (since there's nothing worth stealing in it).
He sleeps indoors most of the time anyway so doesn't really need one >.>.

These are the three tamest cats I have right now, I have about 5000 a few more but I wont post pictures of them all because I'll be here all day otherwise :P

^ A cat called Rabbit! Haha I love it (: I really want to get a kitten, but my dad hates them so I'm going to have to wait until I move out properly.
