without sounding smart i like my knees, and secondly im squatting 140kg for sets of 3 with a view to it going up so i figure it might be time to invest in a set

If you're squatting with good form you shouldn't have any problems with your knees..

IMO unless you are going to be lifting equipped you dont need knee wraps..

pardon my silly question, is this like wrapping bandage around the joint, i seen a guy with what seemed like a strip of cloth bandage around his elbows when he was benching what seemd to be 150kg ish ...
    why is this ?

Maybe not knee wraps - but I don't think you can make a call on sleeves without seeing the guy - he could be lifting over his skeletal limit.

Definitely get yourself some lifting shoes though. And watch your spine for compression too - discs are easily ruptured with enough pressure.

Serious question, are you a troll, or do you believe the things you're saying?

How do you assess someones skeletal limit by looking at them? I'm genuinely curious.

Agreed, no pressure on the patella with sleeves

Wow, seems like you can only offer advice on here that everyone else agrees with. Nope I'm not a troll - only offering up opinion/advice based on my own personal experiences - won't bother anymore.

Disagree with anyone, just make sure you can back it up. What the witch doctor says doesn't count.
