6 quid, shouldn't break the bank.

For anyone who isn't aware of this, the kneeling ab wheel (aka evil wheel) rollout is a fairly challenging exercise. The standing version is very challenging. I have done loads of rollouts in the last few years and can still get DOMS from them. Should be said that it is a pretty dangerous and unforgiving exercise if done improperly though.

I have two wheels already but am going to buy the ALDI one as well for the craic.

I've heard a lot of good stuff about these. Thanks for the heads up. Now to look for videos on how to use them! I think transform did one before didn't he?

Might pick one up myself, looks like a decent work out to do at home.

I did indeed - paired with some back extensions total killer

Mind you nothing compares to GHR sit ups IMO

    I bought two yesterday.

I was going to post yesterday or two days ago that my grandmother had one of these and this was what 25-30 years ago now.

She was in her 70's at the time and I remember as a kid using it for a bit of fun. Now I don't know what I did with it but I remember it as being easy.

I set it up yesterday with both wheels on it and obviously with no warm-up I give it a go and knock out a nice and easy set of 15.

Well not so easy and I shall now give it a few days before doing it again as I tried it again and beyond a certain point there is something called doms in my lower, lower abs!:D

I don't really like ab wheels.... kneeling rollouts are too easy and standing are too hard :p

It's been ages since I've used mine actually. I was able to do standing ones last time I tried, but pull it out again and see how I go.

    Show off!:)

I aim to work up to standing - not an easy thing - probably easier for the shorter, lighter guys!:P

I can see me either chickening out or headbutting the mat a few times! LOL

I've a mate that could do a full standing rollout on the first attempt. I haven't forgiven him for it yet!

After me giving the heads up when I went to buy one they were sold out :)

I thought that too. However when a few work colleagues and friends attempted *kneeling* rollouts using one of my wheels I was shocked at how bad they were. Nobody managed to do one rep and their lower backs were all over the place. These people are far from being couch potatoes and are not fat. Some play GAA, do triathlons etc.

Therefore I would say for the average person who hasn't done much/any strength training, a kneeling ab wheel is a challenging abdominal exercise.

Anyone know an Aldi that may have these still in stock?

    :D

Turns out I did make my kneeling ones a bit harder by being a few inches off the ground!

Still bunched on the standing ones - I'll keep at it!

    Thanks for the heads-up.

By the way, has anyone ever used a Power Wheel before? It's similar to the evil wheel, except that you attach your feet to it via foot straps instead of gripping it with your hands.

A belief in gender identity involves a level of faith as there is nothing tangible to prove its existence which, as something divorced from the physical body, is similar to the idea of a soul. - Colette Colfer
