No, the three marks are from the BCG injection.

The Mantoux test is done on the LOWER left arm. From what I can remember, it plucks your skin with a kind of grabber thing and depending on the reaction, it will determine whether or not you need the BCG injection.

Not everyone has to get the triangle injection. It depends on the results of your Mantoux test which is done when you are 6ish.

Maybe things are different from when I had it done which would have been early 80's in England. When you say triangle injection do you get 3 injections at once? We only received one injection which left one scar.

Also the Heaf/Mantoux test wasn't done until we were at least 11.

I have them, gotten them when I was in 5th class. BCG injection in my arm, leaves between two and three marks. I was one of the people that got two marks. There for life, join the club :) I'm not sure if you get them straight away when your born now, But when i was in primary school the nurses use to come every 3-4 years to make sure they get everyone. between 6th-3rd class I think. all the classes below got the MMR injection and when getting the BCG you also get the MMR second vaccine(works in a 2 injection cause 5 years between or something)

    Anyone care to summarise?

So its the BCG (Tuberculosis) vaccine which scars you.
    But why 3 scars?

Is it due to three injections being given at three different times?
Or is only one of them the BCG injection, so then what are the other two?
