Helluva reduction.. picked up You're In The Movies when it was available at €7.74. Don't have Scene It 2, but none in stock in Sligo.

Both come with their respective accessories.

'You're In The Movies' is worth it for the camera alone.. it's a cracking little camera. Parents are using it for Skype right now, and it does the job perfectly!

I've not used my camera since it got it (at €7.74 too). Trivia should be fun though - a cheap replacement for 1 vs 100.

    So it seems

Gone everywhere god dammit! Would have loved Scene it 2, sick of first one.

edit: Sorry didn't see In the movies until there. Just reserved 5 in Cork but whether or not I'll take them all is another thing! - make a mint selling them on ebay maybe hehe

Main use if for camera for a few of our laptops. Does anyone know if its compatible with Vista? And are they really as good as cracked up to be?

Can anyone confirm that You're in the Movies is the one with the camera, and not just the game on its own?

Yup says it on the argos page even:

Complete with Xbox 360 LIVE vision camera

I've looked at reviews online too, game itself is a one-trick pony (though families seem to like it and fun for messing around with a big group), but the camera is a dinger for the price. Trouble working it with macs though.

That's not really in the spirit of the Bargain Alerts forum. Other people on here may want to take advantage of that offer.

Reserved both in Letterkenny, now to get the brother to drag his ass down there and pick them up :D

joke will be on you, box size means postage will be pretty steep, especially if selling to UK, and you won't make anything off them, because people won't pay huge money (the game is pants and people will just want the camera), and then there's ebay fees

    Thanks :).

Quick heads up for anybody still looking for You're in the Movies in Dublin (and finding it difficult because of inconsiderate people reserving more than they actually want...) Swords has three left according to Argos' website.

Obviously the "hehe" didn't transfer very well, I don't actually intend on putting them on Ebay. Also I only reserved in Patrick St., no other store (though actually as I remember it was gone in Blackpool and Mahon point anyway). But I do admit I must have been mad to reserve 5 (and your comments have grown me a conscience) 2 is all I need really, one camera for laptop and desktop, and one for xbox.

So not sure how to cancel the other three. I guess I won't pay for them at the time, meaning they will be returned to stock Thursday about 1.30-2pm (when I plan to collect).

Tell you what though to atone for my sins, I will purchase one extra to send to someone on the thread free of charge including postage. All you need do is come up with a limerick and post it here. I will decide the winner based on the person who gets most thanks by 5pm on Thursday!

I got the last 3 "You're In The Movies" in Swords for myself and 2 of the lads I work with :P

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,824 ✭✭✭ShooterSF

Picked up mine in Navan. Think there is one or two left if the staff member serving me doesnt grab them. His words on being handed the docket - "That's the xbox 360 game You're in the movies for eh.... the bargain price of 2.99, that's ridiculous!" :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,014 ✭✭✭Soarer

    There's a website called boards.ie
    It's frequented by user Tommy
He bought 5 of one game
    Other peeps did complain
So he's giving one away for free

That's nice of you but you don't have to put yourself out... and making people jump through hoops is kinda weird.

You seem like a really cool, fun person!

You won't make a "mint" on ebay, you will make a couple of quid profit if even that.

    Anyway,

"A cheap xbox camera" thought $hifty,
"would surely work out quite nifty"
    But, he jumped the gun,
    For, alas, there are none,
Cos Tommy, the fecker, bought 50

Lol this is getting crazy :)

Won't it cost a bit to send it, given it's (presumeably) in a box!

And the rhyme thing, tha's just strange!

Don't worry I'll stand by my promise even if the limerick mentions me :o

Though I do think it is a bit rich when a few other have snapped up multiple copies of either game to hone in on me (e.g. witnessmenow, ciaburkie), plus I reserved from one store only. I'd complain to the mod but as its basquille ;)...
I do post quite a bit in bargain alerts so I hope in time you can all find it in your hearts to forgive me

Also DonJose All the Scene Its had already been sold out, but hey it still works.

By the way I am going in now to pick mine up (2 plus the one for the comp). That means two will be coming back available in Patrick St. Argos at about half-five.
