Spurs make their long overdue appearance in Europes premier competition tonight in the hopes of reaching the champions league group stages by taking on Young Boys of Bern in Switzerland. King already ruled out due to the astro turf pitch and his crystal knees. Modric could make only the Bench after running on empty after 90 minutes on Saturday spurs should line up as
    Gomes
    Corluka Dawson Bassong Bae
    Lennon hudd Palacios Bale
    Defoe
    pav

This is on ITV I think ?

Not sure if I want Spurs to go out now (for the comedy value) or go out at the group stages (more money, less lols but distract them from the league)

I certainly want them to go out now. It'd be bloomin' hilarious.

It would be pretty funny if they went out, but at the same time hopefully CL football will lead to paying less attention to the EPL.

If Spurs don't qualify is the pool of money for the english clubs shared out amongst 3 clubs rather than 4?

I'd say it's gonna be a case of Men against Boys....

I actually want to see Spurs do well too, hope they go far in the actually cup games themselves, unless they end up playing United of course.

I thought you got big money just for reaching the group stages, so whoever qualifies wins the pool of money?

Get stressed out over football much?

Personally I like to see the EPL teams doing well. I hope Spurs win this one comfortably.

Had got sick of usual top 4 every year, but didn't want Liverpool to be team who dropped out. Good luck to Spurs, should easily be good enough to get thru this round. 1-1 tonight 2-0 at home I reckon.

Has Harry Redknapp been watching any videos of young boys?

Harry Redknapp regularly travels alone to Switzerland just to watch Young Boys, and actually said he wants to bring a few back with him. Ledley King has also been banned tonight as he's not allowed come anywhere near Young Boys outside the UK.

    Defoe and Pav up front....:(

    Wanted Keane to start.

Reports are that Harry has plenty of videos of young boys. He has been watching them most nights now before he goes to bed.

Large wager on Spurs @ 10/11

Away from home I would have played Huddlestone instead of Dos Santos.

Sounds like the commentary on TV3 is ever so slightly ahead of the video feed.

    from Guardian -

Young Boys then. My research into Tottenham's opponents tonight has been somewhat restricted by my own concern that Google might end up forwarding my details on to the authorities...

TV3 sound is ahead of the video footage, really annoying
