You know what cliche annoys me recently?

The final shot of the film (before the credits roll), someone or something jumps at/into the screen. Fcukin' hell, it's been used a lot in horror (eg
Paranormal Activity, Day of the Dead (2008))
, but happens outside the genre too
    (Back to the Future)

    At least
    [REC]
had the decency to do the opposite, lol.

This is one I had thought of also, but also with horror movies you get the ending where the monster is dead...OR IS IT! Or the monster is dead but it's spawn will live on- WOO HA HA HA! Then the credits roll!

Or...the in the case of a movie like
    The Crazies (2009 version)
we have the scenario where we believe the protagonists have escaped...but in the last few minutes we the viewers are shown that they will meet their doom anyway...

I know horror movies aren't necessarily a fine art but these sort of endings can really ruin a solid flick!

The remake of Dawn of the Dead did this too:
the first time I saw the film, I thought our heroes had escaped in the boat. But second time around, having watched the credits, we see that when they land on the island they were fleeing to, it was also teeming with zombies, so they were fooked anyway.
