Weight loss and behaviour modification

    Hi all,
I'm looking for information about the other side of the weight loss process. I see a lot of advice on diet and exercise here and of course these are very important if one wants to lose weight but none of you deal with the psychological reasons for overeating and self sabotage. If you don't deal with these, then any weight loss or exercise program is going to be sabotaged sooner or later because the urge to eat will always win over sheer willpower in the long run. Motivation.ie claims to deal with these as well as the diet side but i very much doubt that one 15 minutes session a week can do much. maybe i'm wrong...I would love to hear what people have used that helped. Would NLP, Hypnosis,... be any help? Would anyone have any other suggestions or recommend any practitioners in the Galway area?
And please don't reply to say : "just get off your --- and do exercise and just stop eating junk, stupid!" That's not helpful!
    Thanks much!

The Dr Phil Ultimate Weight Loss Solution is good at looking behind the reasons you overeat. Too introspective for me though!

I found Tom Venuto's Body Fat Solution (surprisingly)very good at addressing emotional eating, also a very motivating read. Aimed at strength training audience.

Paul McKenna I can make you thin is another interesting one.

Hope one of the above clicks with you.
