Patellar Tendinopathy - Success Stories?

Hi - I've had patellar tendinopathy for approx 6 months, just looking for some inspiration. I'm currently in week 8 of eccentric exercise program and core work (progressed to weighted one legged decline squats). I've seen a slight improvement but nothing dramatic.

Obviously everyone reacts differently to rehab, but would like to know of anybody has had this condition and how long it took them to recover. What rehab they undertook, any re-occurrence subsequently.

Bit about myself, prior to starting rehab program - played rugby 2 x week, crossfit 5 x week.

    thanks!

Mod Note: I am going to leave this thread open for now but caution that there is to be no advice given on rehab programs.

The OP has simply asked for feedback from folks who may have had this injury re recovery time and possible subsequent re-occurance. Let's keep in on topic !!!

I am going to assume that you are under profesional supervision for your rehab program.

I am going to caution you re performing any rehab outside that which is recommended by your Doctor/Physio

If this thread starts to receive posts advising on rehab exerciese it will be deleted!!!

Yep understood, just looking for peoples experiences with it really. I'm already working with consultant + physio, but would be nice to know there is light at end of the tunnel etc... even if its just anecdotal :)
