A hundred years from now what do you think will be the things we look back on from this time and consider most shamefull? For example looking into the past were shocked at racism, slavery and treating women like sh!t but at the time these were the norm and to think other wise was weird.

In a hundred years i think well look back and be shocked at how we experiment on our closest relatives chimps ect in the name of science what about everyone else?

    On a more serious note...

Why gay and lesbian couples can't marry in Ireland?

They'll probably have invented cold nuclear fusion, which creates much more energy than nuclear fission, and leaves only minute radioactive materials behind.

    That, and also internet speeds.

As regard morals, I think people would have at least agreed that we tried to set things right.

How a handful of greedy (ba##*ar*s) people managed to drag the country into the financial mire we are in today and that nobody in power did sweet F.A. to stop them before it was too late.
But then weren't they in on it as well...

Lack of non-heterosexual marriage in Ireland

    Clerical abuse

    Environmental abuse

The STATE of the health service

The face that less than 100 years ago this country was liberated from a 'government' that was treating the people of Ireland like second class citizens, yet in 2010 people let our government treat us like they do?!?! Very damn glad I'll be old enough to vote next time around.

The fact people aren't standing up to the crooks (some call them bankers) running the country.

The lack of the right for women to have the choice to have a termination without going abroad.

Well I really doubt anyone will be looking back and thinking about the recession. I don't think they'll give a siht. I don't think anyone will, when it's over and done.

In 100 years, when people think of us, I reckon they'll be most surprised by how poorly we treat the planet and how much murder/killing there is going on.

I imagine in the next ten to twenty years, there will be a serious global overhaul of the policing systems used. I imagine there will be little to no crime and death penalties will be back in action in most countries.

I'd also imagine that by the time 2020 rolls around, An Garda Siochana will be no more, and instead every country in the EU's police force will be converted to a European Police Force (where members can transfer to other countries and if one country has difficulties that they can have additional officers transferred to assist them).

The Irish language will have faded out altogether or will become a language learned only in Irish Military schooling for confidential reasons when soldiers are talking to each other.

We'll have found new means of moving our cars around and such (I reckon electricity will be the most common in 100 years) and that security in airports will drop to really low levels as flying becomes much more common and easily accessible by anyone and everyone (i reckon going from country to country will be like going from county to county).

People will bow to statues of me in all of the world's major cities.

The fact that, at one point, it was possible to pay over €500,000 for a three-bedroom semi in suburbia.

Weird, out-of-place architectural catastrophes like Adamstown in Dublin or Charlesland in Wicklow, which look as though they were just haphazardly shat out of the sky.

    The popularity of TV3.

    Unavailability of abortion.

The fact that, in a country where few people really care that Cystic Fibrosis sufferers are regularly thrown into disease-ridden hospital wards and die younger than in any other developed nation, or that services for autistic children are abysmal, tens of thousands of people were angry enough to join a Facebook group, demanding that some football match should get replayed.

From what I've read, Europe's take on the MF is A-OKAY.:confused:

But the MF'ing arse holle is really driving our country into the ground.

    WHEEEEEEEERE DO I BEGIN ????

Nowhere, cause I really couldn't care less about what other countries think about him. YOU guys are not the one who has to deal with his 'GHETTO' fookin "cash for clunker's" hair brained ideas, golfs during oil spill, advancing his welfare follower's lazy arses, ACORN ......etc.....

The list goes on and on

I don't wanna get started. I come here to forget he's my president!!!:mad::mad:

Facebook/Twitter and other social network sites, they will be looked back on as the start of our lives being controlled by the goverment or some higher order. Basically like Demolition Man/Fifth Element type control over us all. People put way too much time into these things it wont be long before we are profiled based on our online history and it being used to categorise us all!
