O2 modem and PS3

I have a PS3 with a browser feature, of course. And I don't have wifi, just the O2 modem. I heard about connecting an ethernet cable from PC to the PS3. Anyone ever get this to work? I'm not too bothered about online gaming cos I know it's just mobile broadband. I'd like to be able to download demos and browse online since…
