Working out in the Morning

    Hey.

Started a new job a few weeks ago, happily. However, that means that I've much less time to do everything else I do, and so I'm going to try working out in the mornings before work.

Anyways, I've tried a few times in the past, and started back today after a few weeks off. Really not enjoyable.... felt weak, slow, and shattered. Only being able to get three hours sleep didn't help, but I doubt that contributed to the nausea?

I got up at 6am, had a shake (protein with oats and milk) around 6.15 and started working out around 7am.

Any tips for making this easier as evening workouts aren't a viable option with my current schedule :(

a decent amount of sleep before hand is very important..

Im going to the gym before work at least a couple of days a week these days, and you really have to be in bed night before at 10pm, 11pm at the very latest..

Don't do them myself. Just hate that feeling of trying to work out in the morning. Maybe I should just get over it.

No point doing anything demanding on 3 hours sleep, in my experience. Aside from a full night's sleep, give yourself enough time so you're not rushing through the workout.

I used to get a great buzz off working out in the morning. I'd be walking around work on a natural high for the couple of hours after it. Didn't stop me quitting and staying in bed like a lazy arse though, so draw your own conclusions.

I find it great! I usually do cardio in the mornings on an empty stomach, and eat a big breakfast afterwards. I may be going crazy, but I notice better results this way.

Also I love how quiet the gym is! I'm going to the gym now in about an hour, and I know it will packed, being a Monday evening.

I love going to the gym in the morning. Usually get around 6 hours sleep and hit the gym on an empty stomach besides some BCAAs. Strength has never been better :)
