I've never, ever heard anyone pronounce it 'dunkey'. Madness.

But these are the joys of being a city slicker- you get protected from this carry on.

I've always said dunky. I'm not from Navan. Nor am I a donkey.

Following on from that, would it be a lorry or a lurry?

Do you donk your biscuits? No you don't.

So why call a donkey a dunkey, or a lorry a lurry? Is it some form of speech impediment that means you cannot pronounce your 'o's?

I don't donk my biscuits. I do, however, put a donk on it. Regularly.
