I'm fast approaching No 3,000 and I know my first one was in December of the year I joined (2004). It was the 22nd according to my control panel.

I would have posted the minute I registered, as it would have seemed natural for me not to want to join a site unless I had something to say, and I'm thinking it would have had something to do with the Rock and Metal or Gigs forum.

Then again, it could have had something to do with Christmas....

I couldn't honestly tell you, but then, most of the posts I made in the 1,000 were limited to solely inside the Rock and Metal/Gigs and Events forums

The more observant of you will realise that he changed his name quite fast to Cloud

John has received a number of awards for website design, including a Golden Spider for the Irish community website boards.ie (Wikipedia article), which he co-founded in 2000. The Irish Internet Association presented him with Net Visionary awards in 2005 and 2006. John is a director of boards.ie Ltd. and co-founder of Adverts Marketplace Ltd., and is also an advisor to some social media companies including CrowdGather and Social Bits

He seems to be an important man here this Cloud fellow.

    Hi,

I'm just new to this board but have a question some people might be able to help with.

I'm applying to the Army cadets this year (sent the form today) and I was just wondering if anyone on here has experience of the interviews, tests etc. that you have to do or if anyone has actually done the cadet training.

Any info at all is much appreciated.

    cheers

    Yes it does.

    It's not rocket science guys...

    http://boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055991686

Change the thread id to 1

    http://boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=1

    *Awaits thanks*
Does that mean we have over 2 million threads since inception?

    Also, what's the 500 post limit? I hadn't heard of that before.

When you search through your posts it will only pull up 500.

Panic's over though - I've found my first post.

Maybe try to make your next three posts interesting and on topic, and we'll celebrate your milestone but presently your nearly 500 posts of utter random rubbish is beginning to grate on me.

Quite hypocritical, because this post isn't exactly on topic either, it's also useless and utter rubbish.

He/she is just enjoying himself, and considering this is After Hours I can't see many people having an issue with him having a chat with someone in the thread, it's very rare that topics in here consist of posts soley on topic.

    /Rant.

Wasn't the first Personal Issues post made by a guy called Adam whingeing about his missus and what she did with a snake and an apple, leading to them getting kicked out of their holiday-let by their god-awful landlord?

Dragging up old posts for no good reason, is not a good way to stay on my good side.

Consider this the first and last warning you will ever get from me, next step will be a one week temp ban.

    Me-oooooooooow! :pac:

    Loads.

As for the first post, it would exist in the Quake forum if it does exist. Posts have been lost before. Also the community at the time was a combination of the Cloud boards and Spinsol boards (Quake community), so to some the first post wouldn't of necessarily been on the boards.ie domain name.
