Will this diet work?

Currently I am trying to lose a couple of pounds to get around 10% body fat. Nearly there now and I am planning my future diet. I hope to maintain this and also my muscle mass/abs.

I work out 5 days a week, sometimes 6 and my maintenance is about 2600 calories. My whole goal was to get a body I am happy with and then to keep it while also being able to eat the food I want without feeling guilty.

Would it be okay if I ate a very clean diet 5 days a week of about 2200 calories then at the weekend go on a food "binge" of something like 3500 calories? This could involve eating a pizza, or maybe going out for a few drinks. The calories would balance out at the end of the week and I would get at least 1lb protein per pound of body weight as recommended...

    So, would it work?

So your goal is to lose weight to get to 10% bodyfat

If your maintenance is 2600 calories and you eat 2200 for 5 days, well that is 400 calorie deficit a day or 2000 for the week.

But if you eat 900 calories excess on saturday and sunday well then you end up only running a 200 calorie deficit for the week.

I am not an expert but that is a slow slow level of weight loss and you may find it hard to get to 10% bodyfat

Sorry, I didn't make it clear. Currently I am eating around 600 under my maintenance to reach 10% which I am nearly at. But once I get there I want to keep it at 10% but also be able to enjoy my weekends if you follow me?
