Question about delivery of research chemicals

Posting this again. Not sure why it was moved.

I'm placing an order for some research chemicals. I'm not sure if mentioning them is against the rules or not so I won't specify. I am ordering a "thermogenic" from RUI Products.

Can the goods be seized by customs? Is it likely that they will be seized?

Will I be charged VAT and / or other taxes? I know when I order with FedEx there are surplus charges. This order is being delivered by USPS and I was wondering what the situation was with extra charges.

Thanks in advance for any help or answers.

    Hi There

As this is not really a fitness related issue I am curious as to why you felt that the Fitness Forum was best suited for this request?

    M

It is fitness related. RUI Products sell fitness orientated research chemicals. The product I intend to order is a "thermogenic", more specifically a selective beta 2 agonist which increases in the rate of glycogenolysis in liver and muscle and liberation of free fatty acids from adipose tissue, thereby increasing the rate of fat loss.

It all depends on the products' ingredients. I presume if you're ordering via USPS that the order is being placed outside the EU? If so then it's likely to through customs and if there are any ingredients that are on the IMB controlled/ medicinal product list (most herbal supplements) then it's likely to be seized. That's my understanding of it anyway.

Just took a look at that website and tbh most of those products would be considered "medicinal" by IMB definition. Personally I'd define them as snake oil :p

Don't do that. If in doubt, drop the mod a PM.
