    Hey guys,
Just looking for a bit of advice as to whether its ok to do cardio and weights on the same day. Im restricted for time. I heard before that if you do have to do them the same day, to do weights first...is this true?
    Thanks.

    Hi There

The reason for the "weights before Cardio" advice is due to the fact that doing cardio first my fatigue the muscles, meaning that you can not lift as heavy as if you were lifting fresh, so you do not get the best gains, or the fatigue could affect your lifting form, leading to injury.

But IMHO it also depends on what your goals are and what you cardio and lifting routines look like.

I do 30 minutes cardio before weights and I don't have any issues. I'm doing high reps (15) of a weight instead of lifting very heavy and only getting 6 ish done. Im looking to lose weight and tone so the way I'm doing it is working for me. As said above though depends on what your goals and routine looks like.

I was always advised to do cardio after weights, I find that it loosens up the muscles and I dont have that aching feeling the next day, also I like to do my lifting when im feeling fresh for best technique. After cardio my body is usually tired and my lifts become sloppy.

If you are someone like me who is looking to get gain muscle with definition and keep your stamina high then cardio after weights is always good.

Example on a day where I might be training legs, doing squats, calf raises, lunges, etc i like to jump on the bike afterwards for about half an hour (i cycle home from the gym, takes around 30 mins).

Im no expert but i hope this helped
