Suit question...

Okay this might not be the right forum but I wasn't sure where to post this.

Because of working out I have quite thick legs (all the squatting) and a relatively thin waist and I have trouble finding suits that fit. Either they are too tight around my thighs or too loose (even with a belt). If anyone else has this kind of problem where do you get your suits? Is there a suit shop for sporty people or are tailored suits the only solution?

    Thanks in advance.

Yeah actually I was trying to buy some work pants recently, tried a few places like topman, river island etc, everything seems to be skinny fit these days - not a good thing if you do a lot of squatting!

Look for someone to do alterations. Call into them and ask their opinion.

Getting a suit altered isn't usually a big deal. The last suit I got wasn't particularly fancy, and they altered it in the shop for no extra charge, ready to be picked up the next day.

Topman suits are terrible though, and they don't seem to take alterations very well. I used to like topman jeans, but nowadays they just have skinny, extra skinny, or skinny with a baggy arse and the crotch half way down to your knees so you literally look like a clown.

I have this exact same problem. Unfortunately I wear a suit everyday. I had lots of trouble in the last two weeks trying on suits. If they fit my thighs/arse they were far too loose on the waist. I couldn't get anything off the rails to fit me. Tried House of Fraser, Best, Baulmer etc., Nothing going! Unfortunately a lot of the European suits are quite slender.

For my latest suit I'm going to use M+S where you can mix and match the jacket/pants. Some of there higher-end suits are really nice. Pants fit me really well.

Your other option is to get a pair of pants too big for you and get the waist taken in.

Yeah, I am going to check out M&S, that mix and match sounds good. Maybe get it altered if needs be.
