Gym Plan

I'm a 15 year old girl, 5'4" and 141lbs. When I was younger I used to do every sport imaginable and was super fit. I've started going to the gym with my mom lately and I've become quite unfit. I don't want to hire a personal trainer in the gym and was wondering if anybody here could help me. Like, I went today and couldn't stay on the same machine for more for 5 minutes. I need a plan to keep me going. At the moment I can run at 8km/h for 2 minutes and by the end of the year would like to be able to run at that speed for between 20-30 minutes. I get to the gym once and week and twice if my mom is up for it.

It's boredom that has you off the machines so quickly, you'd be better off going for a brisk walk for a half hour than machine hopping in the gym. I wouldn't be a huge fan of the gym but have been going a few times a week for years, have gone every day for the last week though. You should definitely manage 10 minutes on the threadmill at 8kph. 141lbs is not any way overweight so if you have no underlying health problem it's just boredom / laziness that has you off it in 2 minutes. You must push yourself, get sweating etc. Waste of time otherwise tbh (believe me, I did it for years)

So your goal is to be able to run furthur?

But you can only do it once or twice a week because you mom only goes to the gym then...

    OK

Get up early before school or after school or hell, even during your school lunch break and run! Where? Well on the streets, in a park, anywhere.

You do not need to be in a gym to run! start off small, run around the block, or walk and run at intervals. 1 min running, 1 min walking etc... or try a couch to 5k program (google is your friend)

If you can only run for 2 mins... You aren't pushing yourself. You aren't over weight or anything so no excuses.
