Installed this and the expansion pack last night, anyone up for a game? I'm lookin for a crew, its the ultimate tactical shooter

Its a little dated but You can hack it to widescreen 1920x1200 or any other res. Its got a mission editor which You can create custom scenarios in seconds. There are lots of mods we could play also. God I miss this game so much.

Me and yitsack have it installed.

I have 7mb and have hosted 5 before without any issues. Dont think the master list is still running so may need hamachi.

To get proper Eax sounds with a Creative soundcard in Win 7:
I had to install Creative Alchemy, then open the Swat4.ini and find the lines about EAX and 3d sound. Set them both to true.

UseEAX=True 
Use3DSound=True 
UseDefaultDriver=True 
CompatibilityMode=False

To force widescreen:
SWAT 4 does not have native widescreen support. To use custom resolutions, navigate to \SWAT 4\Content\System and open the Swat4.ini in a text editor such as NotePad++.

Search for the following lines:

FullscreenViewportX=
FullscreenViewportY=

Modify these lines to suit your resolution.

FullscreenViewportX=1920
FullscreenViewportY=1200

After changing the values, save the file and make it read only. This will prevent the game reverting back to a 4:3 resolution.

As I'm running both Swat 4 and the expansion pack I did the same in that folder as well

SSF mod is like an launcher it downloads maps and mod tru that, its on the server with 57 maps.

It runs fine on the server, I can join, but I can't get the admin password to work, it just won't let me login as admin to change the mission

We completed a level last night 53/100 after "Mad Dog" Pog left the server.

Hes crazy tbh and theres an MG in the SSF mod :O

swat4 is a great game, had many a fantastic session with it. If only indoors in arma was like swat. lol.

Join our arma server, we need to make a team to compete in a domination TT event for PC Format. All the other teams are like "oscar mike" and "move 50 feet no sound". We are the complete opposite

Had a try at this again this evening and can't get logged in as admin. Server runs fine, just we cant change map without vote or change defaults

you using the rcon login method?

Rcon Commands For SWAT 4

sad <password> - Login as admin with specified password.

abortgame - Ends the current round.


flush - Flush all caches. Regenerates all lighting, 3D hardware textures, etc. Can be useful to clear texture corruption due to 3D hardware driver bugs.


get <classname> <variable> - Gets the default value for a variable in a class. eg get swatgame.serversettings maxplayers


kick <playername> - Kick a player.


kickban <playername> - Kick a player and ban his/her IP. You'll need to edit your Swat4(X)(Dedicated).ini file to unban their IP.


open <mapname> - Opens a local map. Can be useful to open custom maps in Single Player. eg open sp-u273


reconnect - Reconnect to the current/previous server.


say <message string> - Broadcast a message to other players in the game.


set <class> <variable> <value> - Sets the specified property of the specified class with the specified value. eg set swatgame.serversettings maxplayers 5


set input <key> <command> - Set up keybinds in-game. It automatically writes to the User.ini file. eg set input u say hello
setres WxHxD - Set the resolution and color depth. eg setres 1024x768x32


shot - Take a screenshot and save it in the System directory with a consecutive name like Shot0001.bmp.

startgame - Makes all players ready.

stat all - Shows all stats.


stat fps - Shows frame time in milliseconds.


stat game - Shows game stats.


stat hardware - Shows interesting hardware stats.


stat net - Shows network performance statistics including ping, packet loss, bytes/second.


stat none - Turns off the display of any stats.


teamsay <message string> - Broadcast a message to your teammates.


quit/exit - Exit the game.

No, was trying the gui method, rcon doesn't work either as I cant bring up console. You can try, the pass for now is "boardsie", I even tried an admin login tool, but thats not working either. All info online on this game has disappeared. Default will be fine till we get bored.

SWAT is an awesome game, was addicted to the VIP escort mode back in the day!

Can't believe gezmods is still up and running :P

@ key it is tilde used to work

With SFF mod for widescreen You gotta launch once and set the graphics, then quit and edit the same lines as before in the ...\SWAT 4\SSFMod\System\Swat4x.ini

Now i know how to open the console I may be able to get it going launching the SFF mod and the admin mod tool, I'll have a go when I get back

Never really like CO-OP in SWAT, do you guys ever play VIP?

EDIT: An easy way to connect to a game is; In the console: Open <IP ADDRESS OF SERVER & PORT>

The setres command posted in the list of commands is very handy also!

Finally, got it sorted this morn. Its a stupid locked down server security thing, We need to run the dedi .exe as admin and the I can login. Works absolutely fine now.
Now I'm late for work

Password is "bang" for anyone wanting to play this later, usual fri drunken mess-about
