just want to get a general idea of how long you spend in the gym?
can you get enough of a workout done in 60mins?
personally ive done the 2 hour sessions in the past, mainly when i started working out first but now i try and get in and out in an hour or so,weights (two body parts) and 10 mins HIIT 3-4 times a week.
i keep my intensity high and move smartly through my routine & ive noticed really good gains in size and strength in the last year.

are there benefits to spending two hours at a time in the gym or if youre spending two hours at a time in the gym are you not using your time wisely enough?

It depends on your goals. If you were doing a big cardio day for example, or training for a marathon or something spending 2 hrs I would think is normal. If you are doing pure weights, depending on availability of racks etc an he approx sounds about right. If you do weights then finish off with cardio again 2 hrs doesn't seem a wrong time.

What is your program, I'm assuming you are asking for yourself yes? Your question is to vague I think...

    thanks for the reply.

im basically just querying something i read on another board:
if you are training 2 body parts each time and doing 5 sets of 5 with 2 minute rest in between your sets combined with a short warm up, bit of abs and a 10minute HIIT you will easily hit 2 hours. I was doing 1 hour sessions until recently as I stopped seeing gains. So I'm now seeing gains again. Will go back to the 1 hour sessions when the gains stop. I've also moved my cardio to the end of a session as at the start it burns the calories you'll want to use for your heavy weights.

as i said,im really happy with the results ive been getting from intense 60min work outs as i have seen recommended here time and time again.over the course of my week im hitting all the main compound lifts and getting plenty of HIIT in.
