Just off the phone to 3, to try and get an order number for my phone put through by Upgrade dept this morning. It has been done manually, so no order number to track thru the website. He told me though, that they have had an email from head office earlier today, stating that all iPhone orders before 4.30pm today WILL DEFINITELY be delivered on Saturday, and all agents are to advise customers of this. Great if it happens, hopefully it will be early. No tracking numbers available, they are not really even sure of which courier company will deliver. Its normally Nightline, but a company called Sonopress are mentioned on the email which is confusing them.

I'd say it'll be early, any delivery I've ever got on a Saturday was always early.

I've rang twice and on both occasions they told me Tuesday, not like it's going to matter to me as they have the wrong address for me and after 3 calls they still haven't got it changed yet and it was sent out at 13:00 today :( Don't see why they can't change the address, gave them the details at 10am and rang again after 13:00 and the old details were still there

    - Saturday morning delivery - anywhere.

    Yay?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,106 ✭✭✭dar83

I'm hoping for a tomorrow delivery alright, otherwise it could get messy with work on Tuesday.

Was just told that Nightline are usually closed Saturday/Sunday so dont expect it until Monday. I do realise this call centre is the one based in India, so they may not have been informed of anything different to their usual operation, so that could be why half the people are being given the Monday/Tuesday delivery.

Are the people that were told about potential Saturday delivery being told this by the Irish call centre by any chance?

balls, i hope its Tuesday :-) Put down my work address in Cork for delivery and i'm away for the wknd.

That could be correct, I got through to the Indian centre on both occasions when I was told it'd be Tuesday. Is there any number you can ring that will put you through to the Irish call centre ?

Just got an email from 3:
    Great news!

Your order has been dispatched from our warehouse today and will be with you, at the delivery address you requested when placing your order, between 8am – 6pm tomorrow (Monday to Friday only).

The Monday to Fridau only piece is a little ominious... but fingers crossed for tomorrow all the same

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 933 ✭✭✭Furp

I hope they dont insist on me being their to sign for the order, when ordering I put under the requirements to allow my wife to sign for it as I'll be in the UK all week next week.

I also hope I only get 1 iphone because I got 6 emails confirming dispatch of my order!

Flown from China to Holland, and THEN distributed around Europe. Deliveries then being made to the 3 carriers in Ireland. In this instance 3 then organise their own deliveries.

niteline do not deliver weekends or bank holidays so it will be tues at the earliest unfortunately. as far as i know you can reroute the package if you gave the wrong address after the first delivery by ringing up Niteline. Niteline will ring you on the contact number you provided at checkout if they are unable to deliver.

Ah, will they wont they! Too many inconsistencies!

Rang 3, Irish guy answered, phones deliver Saturday.

Rang later (after hearing of tuesday) Indian girl says Tuesday.

Get mail saying delivery 8am - 6pm tomorrow, but with (Mon-Fri only).

Its like they're too afraid to say Saturday in case you dont get it, but want you to be waiting for it just in case.

Was meant to be out of the house tomorrow but suppose I better stick around! I assume people will post here if they get theirs delivered?

Someone in India told me last night that there was no sales of the iPhone last night, either online, over the phone or over the counter...........That everyone would have to go to a shop at 9am this morning....

You'd this with all this technology now it would be easy enough to find if the right address is being used! Is there 'an app for that'?
