Thought it might be helpful if those of you who have been to a store, be it o2, Vodafone, 3, etc could indicate current (or anticipated) stock levels?
Just name of store, location and approx, or impending, stock levels?
I'll be checking in with Vodafone on Grafton St later today and will post up whatever spiel I get from them re current or expected stock levels.
    Cheers.

    O2 Scotch Hall

The 3 store on Patrick St wouldn't say how many units they had when I was queueing last night, so it's interesting that O2 are being so public about it!

Apparently Three on Grafton Street had hundreds of them, so I would imagine its just that Three were better prepared.

At those prices, I'm sure most of their stores will for many weeks.

Vodafone at the stephens green end of grafton street got 16 in, told 16 at the trinity end aswell. No real queue outside when I was there for opening. Worth a phone call for anyone looking to still get one

Vodafone in Limerick city only got 10 x 16gb in and only 3 x 32gb even the staff appeared embarrassed at the small deliverery. They're working off waiting list and if anyone drops out I should be getting a call. I'm not holding my breath though.

Stuart, want to give them a call and report back?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 739 ✭✭✭Feidhlim

3 in blanch had lots - they also said it was first come first serve, regardless of whether pre ordered.

Their head office (according the the sales guy) told all branches not to hold stock. If someone wants a phone and have all the details, then sell.

I was there, they had 80 32GB, with 50 held. Not sure on 16GB, but I suppose if they had 120 you could call 200 'hundreds' at a push. I didn't get there early enough to guarantee a 32GB though, so I split.

Posted this in another thread, but I'm pretty sure Vodafone in the Blackrock Centre will still have some.

defo, especially since the likes of vodafone are selling it for just €10 cheaper than it is to buy direct from apple unlocked

3 in Portlaoise had 1 no. 16GB iPhone 4 in stock. I was the first person to go to buy it, at 11.45.

They said 3 in Tullamore opened at 8 and was sold out by 8.45. Apparently they got 1,500 units total countrywide.

is there anywhere in dublin likely to have one left in stock on O2?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 620 ✭✭✭Super Freak

Just picked up a 16Gb in the 3 shop Liffey Valey, Lunchtime Friday.

No fuss No que. They would'nt say how many were left except that they sold around 12 in the first hour of trading and "a few" since then.

Went into Carphone Warehouse on Henry Street Dublin at 1pm. I got the last O2 iPhone 4. He said he had a few Vodafone iPhone 4 left too. No queue. Bit of a panic over nothing this morning

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 316 ✭✭noaddedsugar

I got a 16gb one in the 3 store in Galway at 1ish and they had quite a few left at that stage according to staff.

ya, very peed off with them at the mo, was after a 32gb and was told yesterday he was putting my details on one in his hand if I guaranteed that I'd be in today, told me not to bother queueing, got in at 9:30 with 2 kids in tow absolutely saturated to be told there were none available. what sickens me is I could have bought it online and it would have been delivered on Tuesday :(

CPW in Ballincollig had 1 VF and 1 Three left at lunchtime....

tell me about it, esp. seeing as 3 around the corner still had them available at 12pm. was sorely tempted to switch but in the long run it would have been shooting myself in the foot as EVERY ONE of my contacts is on vodafone!

Girl working in Vodafone in LV told me @ 3.36pm they had
a couple of 16Gb left and that if I went down to the shop
    I'd get one.

Got there at 3.55pm and one of the lads told me there were
    none left.

The girl was not available - having her lunch in the back.

    What a crock....

Just wondering, how do you know they are all Vodafone? With number porting nowadays it's impossible to tell anymore what network a person is with from their 083/5/6/7 number.

    a) when you make a call it beeps if the other person is on a different network
    b) my bill details any calls and text to non VF numbers..

Vodafone just put up a post on Facebook saying they are completely sold out, country wide of iP4.

Well you learn something new every day. As long as I've been using a mobile, I never knew about the beep signifying calling another network. Often heard it and wondered what it was. Handy to know.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,201 ✭✭✭quintron

If it beeps more than once you know they have switched network more than once ;)

It seems that there wasn't that much of a rush on them , coz there wasn't that much demand!!!

I didn't think that i would get one and dropped in VF in Donaghmede on thursday afternoon and was told that they got 20 in stock and only 3 were ordered and "would i like one put by for me" i said yes...and dropped back to the store this morning and picked it up!

    cramp

at lunch time there were no 32s left and only a handful of 16s apparently...

They must have got some in the afternoon, because I just bought the last 32GB there at about 6pm. They have about 30 16GB left for tomorrow, so if anyone's looking, i'd get there before lunchtime anyway...

got mine today in the VF store in Gorey, from what I could see they had 4 behind the counter, not sure how many they had elsewhere. I got mine at 15:00 and the lady behind the counter told me I was the first one today! Seems to me there is a good chance they will have some left tomorrow....

Anyone have an inside scoop on sim free availability from Compu-B? I heard they are just doing contracts. Is that the case? Cheers, q.

Any idea on stock levels that O2 currently have? I presume that there sold out countrywide at the moment.... Anyone know when more will be in?

Was at the Galway races for the week and didn't get a chance to get into a shop on Friday...

By the sounds of things. There was an awful lot more iPhones to go around this year. Between online and in stores. But the demand was also higher.

I reckon they will all be resupplied far more quickly and regularly and won't be as bad as last year.

I could be wrong though :)

O2 top of Grafton St had nothing, not even iPhone 3gs

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 59 ✭✭moshea

Was in at the carphonewarehouse on north earl street (dublin) at lunchtime. They had no iphone 4's for O2, but had 2 in stock for VF contracts.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 339 ✭✭cianr

Dundrum - nothing in Vodafone or O2 stores.
