Its fairly short notice i know,But any of those in the North Eastern region who have an interest in strongman,Glenn will be putting on a demonstration for the Belturbet Festival,on main street tonight at 8.30pm.
Belturbet is 7miles north of Cavan Town on the main N3 route.

Possibly a record for shortest notice ever!:D

How was it, any pics. Glen is one awfully strong bloke - I think I saw him on Tv recently in Eastern Europe somewhere or Scandinavia in one of the strongman series competitions.

Sorry about the late notice lads,it was good seeing strongman promoted to the wider audience.
Most of the people watching however were just there for the Festival and had no idea who he was and what hes achieved.
    Events: Car deadlift
    started off with 850KG
and progressed by 50KG each attempt all way up to i think it was 1175KG(he had about 13/14 little kids in the car)
It was said that its a new record for Glenn and a new WR,but i dont know the validity of that.

    115KG stone overhead press

Granite stone,in an unusual rectangular shape. It had started lashing rain,so that just increased the difficulty of it.
Glenn cleaned the stone and then pressed it 3 times overhead.
One of the lads(huge guy)helping Glenn tried it after and could barely get it a few inches off the ground, which just showed how heavy and awkward it was.

    Truck pull
Glenn demonstrated the truck pull with a lorry, supplied by Sean Quinn cement,it weighed about 10 tonnes. The pull was only over about 25/30 metres, but he must have had the truck going at about 10 mile an hour after the first couple of steps.

I just couldnt get over how big the man was,his arms were probably bigger than my legs!!!
