What to buy next?

i have some interest in the TT in the past few days, id be shocked if anyone genuinly interested comes to view it and doesnt buy soooooo

with that in mind i should prolly start taking a look around, as i havent given much thought to a replacement.

Requirements:
Not a depreciation disaster
Doesnt have to have 4 seats but if it doesnt must have reasonable space for luggage
Quick, quicker than the TT quick
Have some soul
Ideally id rather not pay 1600 tax but im prepared to
ANything really old is out, anything with 4 doors is out, z3ms are out (i know more than on person will recommend one)

so, im open to suggestions,

there are two budgets:

1) I can be sensible, pay around €15k max for a car and pay off most of the car loan i have or

2) i can spend €26/27k if i really want to (not sure if i do!)

so hit me with it gents! and ladies!

could be interested by a 6 (not my first choice tho) but i wont be spending any more than the late teens on one, most likely a 04 645, one of the lads on bmw driver got a 04 for 15k (albeit it need 2k spent)

any more is financial suicide :0!

i love the look of the breras, but i have two issues:

a) the financial suicide bit of what i said (re depreciation more than anything)
b) they arent fast enough

if they had 350 bhp they would have sold i think

R35 Skyline! Based on 350Z, but with back seats and slightly bigger boot, reliable, quick, rare, and I've seen a 2004 one for sale with just 21k miles for €8,750! At that price all the other suggestions just look kind of expensive...!

R35 is the new model GTR, the Skyline you're talking about is the 350GT. I never liked them but Nissan Doctor on Boards has a Modified one and it's gorgeous.

Cyrus, why avoid the inevitable, just buy another M3:D

If I was in OP's position there's no way I could resist an SL.

Either one of the last generation of the old body shape from 1999/2000 for c. €15k, like this beautiful, beautiful creature:

i am genuinly open minded, obviously i have my own taste that doesnt always tally with yours but that doesnt mean im close minded

A nice 1970's Corvette Stingray. Plenty of 350s (ie 5.7L) and big block 454s (7.5L) to be had within budget, and all in excellent condition.

I would have a preference for a 1969 Camaro SS/Z28, but I don't think you'll get one within budget.

As will all American muscle, they sound awesome and are quite fast.

Easy to get parts for, cheap tax, and quite reliable due to their simplicity.

BMW 135i. Will get cheap(er) when the new Msport version is released. Only 1050quid to tax. 30mpg. As good residuals as you'll get with what you're looking at. Have to go to UK tho.

Vauxhall Monaro. If you need a bad ass V8 in your life. Crap on tax/petrol/residuals tho

in your opinion maybe, i still turn to look when i see one, and imo the e46 m3 is the nicest modern bmw but thats just personal opinion

they fail for me on a couple of areas, lhd and age being the most important

if i had 3 or 4 cars one of them would be a classic american muscle car, preferably an eleanor lookalike
