This is a BBC4 documentary that's well worth a look for anyone interested in nutrition and food science.

You need to download the free Veoh player first:

    http://www.veoh.com/download

And then click on the following link:

    http://www.veoh.com/browse/videos/category/educational_and_howto/watch/v18365852hy7HDn27

It's full of loads of interesting information. For example, I didn't know that they fortified foods with vitamin D in 1957 in Scotland to disastrous results.

I had to laugh out loud at the bit where they actually tried to engineer a replacement for the egg.

The whole documentary is a great endorsement for eating real food and how we got into the current mess we're in.

Cheers. Gonna give it a view. That veoh player is windows only (linux geek here) but I found it elsewhere. :)

Ah the shame, I've spent far too long in the windowsverse. Got to dig out my copy of ubuntu and put it on this laptop. :)

Just a warning for people to go with custom installation on the veoh player and avoid the toolbar and other unwanted additions.

Thanks Temple gonna watch this now!

Watched it. Very interesting viewing. Especially the stuff about WW2 nutrition in the UK and the Vitamin D disaster in Scotland.
