You can use any Aeg but most people would have a variant of the following m16, m4, m14, m15, AK, shotgun surely you have one of these and as for the loadouts that's why we said that many people would have a black loadout as similar to a swat loadout will do. Have you not got some green combats and tee-shirt knocking about your wardrobe :)

All I'm trying to say is don't miss out because of kit, come on man, sure if anything we'll all get together and have a laugh

For any prospective VC players I have been looking for some appropriate kit. Anyone any experience with the following

    http://www.flecktarn.co.uk/blccs6na.html

with associated pants? Looks good for this event (and future visits to The Office).

those suits could be worn over bdus if necessary and they should be tough enough to do the job

zero six hundred 05 August 1968
    notebook entry

It was a long night, after my initial contact with the VC at the river bed somewhere near sector Lima/Mike 1, I took an evasive route back to where I had left the kid and Barnet "the support gunner on board the chopper". With inadequate supplies and the morphine running low the Kid's injuries are getting more critical by the hour the maggots are the only thing keeping the deepest wounds clean. He developed a fever but we couldn't risk a fire and I had to gag him for fear of his delusional cries would give away our position over the night air.

It was one of those nights I know will stick with me for a while.
Unless we can get him help soon, I fear the kid wont make it and although he is slowing our progress a promise is a promise and I swore I'd get him home.

Charlie is everywhere but we can't risk moving in darkness, I remember passing over a village a couple of clicks before we were shot down, got to try and see if they are friendlies for the kids sake it's risky but I've no choice.

God damn the politics, God Damn this god forsaking jungle with its snakes, it's insects, it's constant rain and the F$%King VC that scurry around it like rats, none of our boys should be here but they say go and we go.....that's our job

got to start moving again before it gets to hot.......

Reporting back to headquarters : located crash site one dead not matching intelligence photographs, target still at large. Scouting party came under fire from sniper one dead and another injured.
It is imperative we capture target alive for interrogation and transport across the boarder.

    We will find him......

It just so happens that i am over here in Vietnam on hols. So far i have picked up a couple of Tigerstripe outfits and a Cournels suit. Black jamies and hats are also on the list.
If enough were intrested i could get gear for all the gooks.
I could get tigerstrip shirt pants red star badge and baseball type hat for approx e40 per person.
Their large jacket will fit most but the pants and approx 30 on the waste and 32 on the leg.
Cournels outfit with Cotton Jacket, Pants proper hat and badge and brown belt would be e50. Same as above on sizes.
Will price jammies and hats and get up some pics tommorow.

    This is:

You can also bear in mind that only a few us forces wore the tiger stripe uniform. The most prevalent bdu was just bog standard OD fatigues.

Depends on the forces. Most wore ODs; after that it's a mixture of Tiger-Stripe, early pattern ERDL, VC pyjamas, brown fatigue trousers, and blue jeans.

If I can stretch ye olde budget; will see about travelling over for this. Doubtful, but we'll see.

Danin, you should put a topic of this event on Arnies Airsoft Forum. I think it would go a long way with the Vietnam era event and the fact that you've put so much into the artwork and story.

Determined to be Volunteer Boys and Girls

    Message from Ly Tien

Brothers and Sisters of my village, the time has finally arrived for us to strike back at the imperialist aggressors whose arrogance in their technology has delivered them into our hands. Our glorious forces have shot down an American helicopter carrying a high ranking Colonel and now the hated marines are struggling through our homeland to attempt a rescue. These arrogant men are no longer in position to destroy our homes from the air in fire and must now face the courage of our arms at close quarters.

Now is the chance to strike back! We have all lost loved ones and most of our village lies in ruins. The souls of my father and sister demand vengeance and the party provides arms for all volunteers who seek to destroy these invaders. As village leader I will guide us. Take the chance! Let us rise up and throw them back together!

Nothing is more important than Independence and Freedom.

Ly Tien we follow you into the storm.

We must have vengance. This is our land, these barbaric invaders will surely fall, far from home, without mercy, without the gluttonous hand of their greedy nation on their shoulder, and lamenting the day they joined in this folly.

Our land. The jungle is our brother. Our cause is just. We cannot fail.

Rise up brothers and sisters! The Party will provide! Follow Ly Tiens wisdom and courage. FIGHT THE INVADER!

    VIET CONG OATH OF HONOUR

    1. I swear I am prepared to sacrifice all for Vietnam. I will
fight to my last breath against imperialism, colonialism, Vietnamese
traitors, and aggression in order to make Vietnam
    independent, democratic and united.
    2. I swear to obey absolutely all orders from my commanders,
executing them wholeheartedly, promptly, and accurately.
    3. I swear to fight firmly for the people without complaint
and without becoming discouraged even if life is hard or dangerous.
I will go forward in combat without fear, will never
    retreat regardless of suffering involved.
    4. I swear to learn to fight better and shape myself into a
true revolutionary soldier battling the invading American imperialists
and their servants, seeking to make Vietnam democratic,
    wealthy, and strong.
    5.
I swear to preserve organizational secrecy, and to keep
secret my unit’s plans, the name of my unit commander, and
all secrets of other revolutionary units.
    6. I swear if taken by the enemy I will not reveal any information
even under inhuman torture. I will remain faithful
to the Revolution and not be bribed by the enemy.
    7. I swear in the name of unity to love my friends in my
unit as myself, to work cooperatively with them in combat and
    at all other times.
    8. I swear to maintain and protect my weapons. ensuring
they are never damaged or captured by the enemy.
    9. I swear that in my relationships with the people I will
do three things and eschew three things. I will respect, protect,
and help the people; I will not steal from, threaten, nor
inconvenience the people. I will do all things to win their
    confidence.
    10. I swear to indulge in self-criticism, to be a model soldier
of the Revolution, and never to harm either the Liberation
    Army or Vietnam.

How it warms my heart to see the response of our people in the face of our adversaries! We must be cautious though, the party has sent word that this Colonel, strangely named "Dobbney", must be taken alive. All of the other Americans can be dealt with as we see fit.

Note the lack of their response to our call to arms which clearly indicates that it is now and ever will be

    VC NUMBAH WAN!

    :P

    1830 hours 26 August 1968
    notebook entry

I had to add another friend to my diary today on my list "Roll call of the dead" . We had been out on a scouting patrol in sector Alpha 1 when he must have had a lapse of concentration and fell into a pit filled with pungi sticks. Could have been any of us...

Before leaving for Vietnam, I had purchased the diary in a Brooklyn stationery store a leather bound bookkeeper's journal that I had intended to use as a note pad, here in country I always carry it in one of the large trouser pockets of my jungle fatigues. The sturdy journal has withstood twelve months of war and jungle. Today, I nearly burned it.....

The Roll call of the dead started out as a drunken joke in a bar in Halong bay me and my buddies thought it would be a laugh, well that turned to **** pretty quick as I started first crossing out their names and then adding names of FNG's that didn't last a week, but now after so long in some sort of sick way the list keeps me human.

Today one thing that has haunted me more than anything is the words of some rice farmers we had tracked down.
They were unusually hostile and uncharastically verbally aggressive. The only words I could translate were Tigers F**King Tigers.

The other men in the patrol didn't give it another thought, but I've heard rumours back in Saigon of a unit named Tiger Force and none of it was good. These guys answer to no one and going by what I've heard through my underground sources they've committed some boo-coo horrifying inhuman acts that even the most hardened drill Sargent would cringe at.

The thing is, they shouldn't be any where near here, they're stationed in Mai Chau , but if they are here, what are they doing. Black Jack confirmed we were the only unit this close to the border.
    Have they gone Native ???
If so did Johnston just loose his life to a trap laid by one of his own....
    an American

I just can't shake this feeling that somethings wrong and I've been trying to hide it from the rest of the guys but when you're out here long enough you get to trust you're instincts
