Guys this is on RTE2 on Tuesday 5th October at 10pm ...... how do I know? Because I worked on it as part of their Paranormal Team

Obviously theres alot that cant be side prior to it being aired but it was great fun! Mind you I am exhausted!!

Synopsis
Spooked is a reality style documentary where six carefully selected young people are placed in a "haunted" house for the weekend. There they discover if the house is truly haunted or not. Will the sceptics remain sceptic when they stay in this haunted location? A psychologist will feature in the programme and will assess the participants over the weekend. There will also be a number of paranormal investigators and a medium involved, to help tell the ghostly stories of the house or the location. This is a light hearted documentary on how the mind works and responds to suggestion.

Time : 60 minutes
Episodes: 1 - Tuesday 5th October, 10.00pm RTÉ TWO

looks intriguing. if i had been a bit older and had actually heard about it before tonight, i might have even tried applying. will definitely tune in to see what it's like though. should at least be a bit of a laugh.

From a skeptics view of point. Yeah. For believers, no. Should of just said a balanced approach.

I guess nothing spooky happened while filming so the producers had to influence it somewhat?

You got that based on the bit in bold? It was always set to be lighthearted (every investigation I have ever done has been fun). They were on site for 3 days and its been compressed into 52 minutes.

You should tune in anyway, as long as you dont have a prior engagement.

There is a number of people working on the show who have a lot of paranormal 'knowledge'.

So six people spent the weekend in Kinnitty castle HOTEL.

It must have been really scary to have spent the weekend with a resturant and bar so close at hand.

At the end of the day there are some of the gang here from boards and teams from Ireland in the show ,,i like seeing any of the gang from any teams in Ireland on the box well done to all involved, another show to to give an small taste in to what people curious about and whats involved in the field ,

Ill be watching anyway

seriously people tune in and enjoy it! stop trying to put it down just because it's RTE we all know they can be tough to work with and cancell appearences after booking them with teams....
put that aside there are a bunch of local talented investigators that we all know and that should be enough. if it's light hearted so what? who cares?

Unless you have been involved with a project like this and I have you don't know how much work it is to get 52 mins of tv out of it.
there is my 2 cents looking forward to seeing Mark Ally and all the rest tonight!!!:D

Also Medium just said we all have different abilities to detect the paranormal..... well I can detect bullsh*t.

RTE had a chance to make a really good TV show, and they blew it.

Very well put together. Funny and interesting. Not paranormal at all though! The poor medium lady did come across as such a cliche, ticked all the mystic boxes. The team came across well, good work guys.

I was pretty happy with that!

I knew there was no way they could make a programme about a hardcore investigation because for 99.999% of the time thats sitting around watching screens or listening to hours of audio ..... that is not good tv!

What they did was good, they took 6 normal/interesting people and put them in a situation. After all its normal people who this show is made for. And I was delighted that it showed that the guys were willing to call bull****. Have alot of respect for the producers for showing that side of it.

Obviously theres bits left out but it was a few days filiming and a 53min show. NO regrest here.

I love to know what they could have done to make it really good tv? I would change a few bits myself like voice over and some of the graphics/music but thats my professional opinion.

The rest of it had me rolling my eyes so much I had to stop for fear they would fall out.

I was impressed that Bernadette called BS on the medium and more so that the production team had the sense to include it. What do you think?

Oh now, I sat in tonight and watched it after Survivor and well I should have gone for an early shower..Why was it a bunch of kids, that whole napy thing was a bit sad in fairness..They could have had a lot better group, and I dunno Im not saying anything 6th but it would have been much better if they had just dropped them at the place, no paranormal team recording anything just set up cameras around the house..

A tad silly alrite..At the start she had mentioned how she was used to feeling spirts and so around her so she could not have been that scared that she needed to use a nappy..It could have been so great tis just another bad remake of the golden oldie movies

Tbh she'd no credibility with me once I saw the black velvet cloak.:p

I think they should not have told any of them the stories until they had been there a while and see what they picked up or thought with out all of those suggestions.

Then again if you are bringing a medium or someone to deliberately stir things up engery/spirit wise it's gonna put a very different slant on things.
No way I would have sat and done the guide exercise, or would suggest it be done with a bunch of people like that for the first time in a place which is meant to be active. But that is just my opinion.
