    Hi

    I am due to start this in a couple of weeks - know its pricey but have gotten to the stage where i just, for my own sanity and self-esteem, I have to lose at least 2 stone. Has anyone else tried it? How did it go? I know it works off three healthy meals a day and 2 protein supplements as snacks, but does anyone know what the meals are? What is the stance on alcohol? Am worried that it isnt going to work and I will have spent all this money! Although I know its definitiely ultimately down to me on whether it works....

    Any thoughts/opinions/expereinces would be great thanks.

    Yes, it's expensive. Yes, it can work. It's a low carb approach, with the emphasis on protein. If you have only two stone to lose you may not be asked to buy protein supplements. Even if you are, you don't have to use theirs, which I think are poor quality and expensive for what you get.

    The basic diet plans are generally around 1200 cals for anyone who doesn't need to lose huge amounts of weight. If you have several stone to lose, it's lower and you have to see a doctor as well.

    I think alcohol is very severely rationed.

    The weekly appointments and food journals etc are very useful as tools to keep you from drifting off track. They have a lot of stuff about your mental weight v your actual weight, and how you relate to food.
