Admittedly, I've been out of the loop a little here lately -- changes at work, and some family issues have meant I've been hard pushed to find any meaningful time on here, let alone to write. Really glad this idea has taken hold. I haven't been active on this forum for a while with a lot of goings-on privately. Hope my absence wasn't seen as too rude? But it's amazing to know sometimes drunken ideas are also good ones.

And I promise to critique also. I think as a writer its very important to stand back from your writing, to let it grow and mature, to let it mix and breathe with others within a select writing group, before eventually releasing it to the savage beast that is the publisher, who will either pet it and stroke it and call it 'George', or will tear it to bits and spit it out..

Can you PM me with what you're looking to do as part of the group before I give you access? At the moment there are too many inactive members and the original idea was to have a smallish group of regular posters so it would be good to try and maintain that.
