What do u hate the most about the buses in this country?

For me its the people that get on them, especially the people that try to make convoversation with very one on the bloody bus.

When i do use the bus i take special attention to where i sit and then try to look as anti-social as possible as to avoid getting some annoy fool sitting beside me.

How they're never remotely on time.

I always bring my headphones when i've to get a bus, and stare out the window, so i don't really notice what's going on on the bus.

I hate how they come early when you're running late and come late when its pissing rain and you're in a rush:mad: I hate the smelly people that decide to sit next to you, forcing you to hold your breathe for the entire journey. I hate the knackers shouting and blaring music from their phones at the back of the bus. I hate how you could be waiting for half an hour for a bus to come, yet still people spend ages fiddling with their money when they get on to buy a ticket.

    That's about it really:p

I was in Scotland recently and the buses over there are amazing. They had electronic timetables at every stop showing how many minutes away your bus is. Amazing.

Meh I don't see the problem with someone trying to have a bit of a conversation with you, just being nice.

Only thing I don't like about buses is how stuffy they can get, especially when someone pisses in a bottle and it starts rolling all over the place, euugh.
And arseholes playing ****e music on their phones.

I wouldn't usually comment on somebody's spelling, but...

    "u"
    "convoversation with very one"
    "some annoy fool"
    "Opnions"

People who get their words/letters mixed up tend to be dyslexic,so don't go pointing any fingers yet.
Not calling you dyslexic op,just saying it's a common trait.:p

People who spend ages getting the money out to pay.

People who go through about 5 different bus tickets - all of which are expired/empty/invalid and then argue with the driver when he asks them to pay.

I know we like a good moan on the boul AH but complaining about people who try to strike up a conversation with you is a little OTT in my view.

bus drivers not pulling in to bus stops and instead stopping in the road blocking all the traffic behind it.

There's always an empty bottle rattling around on expressway buses. Nobody ever bothers to pick it up.

There's always a knacker down the back playing every fcuking ringtone with chipmunk vocals that has ever been created.

Some fat fcuker always sits in beside you and always eats crisps and snickers stinking the place up.

There's always some retarded dude who will sit beside you and ask you a million questions.

The driver will always be waffling total sh1te on his blue tooth headset to some nob who he is trying to sell a car to.

There will always be bad traffic, rain and a two mile detour when i take the fcuking bus.

There will always be some criminal who sits beside you and tells you that the only reason he's on the bus is because the cops took the car off him because he had no insurance, licence, tax or proof of ownership of aforementioned car.

There will always be two junkies going to Athlone who sit across from you and drool on each other after taking their methadone.

    I hate the fcuking bus.

I have several issues with the buses.

Its so expensive. If I paid what I was supposed to to get into town and back, it would cost me close to €5 to sit on a bus that makes me seasick, that smells and is generally late. I intend on paying the under 16s fare till I'm in my 20s (being 5 feet ftw) which costs me €2 in and out. If you're getting connecting buses or trains it would seriously cost you a fortune.

    They're not reliable

They don't serve outlying suburbs made up of poorly planned expanses of housing estates.

The timetables can be hard to understand, sometimes it will say the name of a town but not specify which end, and you end up miles away from where you want to be. I would hate to be a tourist here.

Did you know that Dublin bus drivers refere to us passengers all as "skulls"

If there is 36 passengers on a bus, according to staff there is 36 skulls on board.

It goes back to the days of open backed busses when CIE had conductors and would have to do a head count to collect fares.
