    The Spin FM up in Dublin can't be as bad as Spin South West. Good example where franchise out your business name is not good idea.
    One time they wanted to Adopt a Virtual Baby. Had a short run competition to Name the Baby!!! (ended that evening) Pretty tasteless :eek:. No wonder the DJ's hide behind 10 hits in a row. Do us all a favour and clock up the number to 10000 hits. Also play something original give impression that the Dj's actually like music. I even think they have stage fake calls!!!

    You're right, 1038 is actually an excellent station for music aimed at their target audience, their fantastic imaging and there are some really good presenters on there who suit commercial radio really well (Paul Bonass and Ryan Phillips especially.) On the few occasions that I've been unfortunate enough to have no alternative but to tune into SPIN SW, I have just cringed at the complete incompetence of the presenters to even do a simple link without being annoying. Their imaging isn't nearly as good as 1038 and they just seem like a completely unorganised and un-professional station.

    In Summer 2012 the 8Radio.com group was formed and a formal structure for 8Radio.com was born. Apart from its online presence, which will be the main means of access to 8Radio.com, the group have been given a 30 day licence by the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland to broadcast to the cities of Dublin, Cork and Limerick for 15 weekends from March 30th 2013. These FM broadcasts are intended to act as a proof of concept for the 8Radio.com format and provide an avenue for disenfranchised radio listeners to find their way back to Irish radio.
