it looks like I need to look at the possibility of joining another gym nearby.

What are the options? I've heard many good things about RAW gym but is it suited to females who just want to lose weight ad toe up. Also what's the story with Jackie Skelly's on Clarendon St? I've heard they went bankrupt too so I'm not sure if it's a good idea to join there either!

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Sarah

With this being your first post, how do we know that you are not a competitor spreading muck and trying to drum up their own business?

just about jackie skelly's - they were bought out by a gym franchise from the uk - they're in the process of updating all their gyms by putting in new equipment as far as i know...

the gym in trinity would be another option for you as well..

    Hi

OP looks legitimate enough to me.

I used to be in Fittness Dock, but moved to Iveagh Fittness [near christchurch] a couple of years ago

More expensive, but a far better place IMHO

Raw is a great gym and yes it is "suited to females who just want to lose weight and tone up". The only way of "toning up" is by reducing bodyfat while increasing muscle mass, and the best way of doing this is by lifting heavy weights.

Go into Raw and just ask to have a look around, you'll be surprised by the amount of female members there. Ask them do they like the gym.

Did neither of you see the Mod post above or were you intentionally ignoring it? And as much as I hate saying this, a fellow Moderator should know better, the report post function is there for a reason.

We've checked it, there's nothing to suggest anything untoward, stay on topic please.

In the OP: once. As was Jackie Skellies. Every other post about RAW was made by established and known users. Perhaps they're all secret shills.

I reiterate, the post and posters IP have been checked and there's nothing untoward. Back on-topic.
