    and for how long for fat burning :) and also easy on the knees ( i know swimming is best but i get shin splints when i run :(

    bike

    threadmill

    cross trainer

    row machine

    swim

    anything tats uses the whole body, in your case the cross trainer, row machine or swimming

    p.s. get your shin splints sorted by a physio

    IMHO the best form of cardio is the one you enjoy the most and will keep doing ;)
