    is copper in water actually good for you? if so is water filtering a bad idea?

    Basically, we need copper but too much can be bad for our health. Drinking water may contain high levels of copper so filtering the water is a good idea, especially if it has passed through copper piping. You should probably be more concerned about other substances in tap water, such as fluoride.

    Depends on the water hardeness I think too, the copper is leached out from the pipes into the water in some areas more tha others.
