Music when playing COD

I just thought it would be cool to make a thread where people can post music they like listening to when they play Call of Duty (if you're not too busy concentrating to listen that is;)) or songs that they like from COD videos on Youtube.

I guess you can post names of songs, or even better the youtube links.. I'll do a few to get started. They're not the songs I normally listen to, but I've seen them on a few COD montages and they stuck with me :cool:

I can't stand listening to music when I play COD, it distracts me far too much. I tried a few times and the games were horrible for me.

I and most of my mates use Turtle Beach headsets, focussed on the game, absolutely no way could listen to music at same time.

Cant listen to music, dont see the point you cant hear footsteps or tac insertions or callouts. Its a pity they dont use music ingame more though like on the single player campaign I like the bits that play when the time is running out or you're being dominated,stuff like that. The score for the game itself is fantastic, downloaded it ages ago its by Hans Zimmer, he of The Rock, Gladiator and The Dark Knight fame.

If I'm not talking to mates I have music in 1 ear and game in another with headphones. If not I'll stick on some music if the mood strikes :P

whenever i'm playing on the computer, i'll have youtube on in the background. normally listen to green day or classical music. fast-paced, tense stuff that keeps me awake and aware, like the pirates of the caribbean theme (which coincidentally was also composed by hans zimmer; thought i'd throw it out there seeing as krudler mentioned him). it can sometimes be irritating; you don't hear people's footsteps/hear things that could help. especially in domation when the voice shouts 'securing b' or whatever.

I haaaaaate it when people have their mics on and have music blaring but its all garbled and echoey, the lobby really should have a "mute all" button.

I'm a huge soundtrack/movie score buff so on the rare occasions I do play music, thats what I listen to in the background, play this on a ground war when its utter chaos and you're on a streak, its awesome

Dont listen to music with MW2, used to listen to disturbed when playing css/cs on DM, ultimate deathmatch music. Really liking the new slash album, so probably that if i still played on the PC.

I occasionally have some music on why I play the Single Player on my stereo, but not too loud. I don't do it for the MP, need to pay a bit more attention for that I feel. As for the type of music, it's usually something like Cannibal Corpse, Dying Fetus or Misery Index. Basically, death metal.

The amount of times I've been spectating, muted someone playing music and then watch them get killed by someone who makes a racket climbing a ladder beside them is enough to show that playing the game with music on is just plain stupid.

Sound can be important for Call of Duty, if you listen to music your not going to hear the enemies footsteps!

I play music regularly albeit not too loudly but do quite well in COD as some here have seen. Reason I don't bother with my mic is because of the music. Don't want to annoy anyone I really don't know.

Listen to a lot of Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Foo Fighters and Pendulum, but in truth excluding the popular pop crap you'll hear all sorts from my Ipod in the background. I love by 80's ballads let me tell you :pac:

ye i tried once to listen to music playing before couldnt hack it tho i like to hear for footsteps and people reloading so i was always getting caught out i know my m8 cant play it without listening to music says its too boring different people different play styles

i like listen to tunes as i play, pump me up, and also to annoy the other team when we win, with "we are the champions" lol


also i have lots of friends who ask me to play songs for them an they love it while we play TDM etc
