I have a strange problem I hope somebody can assist me with, after much head scratching I have discovered my
Wifi card is preventing any distro from booting, from HD, live CD, or USB.
I wiped the drive, installed Mint 9 (without a problem), and then shutdown to install the Wifi card.
It booted and found the card and I spent an hour setting everything else up, downloading updates etc. but when
it came to rebooting again it sticks on the splash/loader screen with no messages.

    Has anyone come across this?

It's an old HP D330 (updated BIOS yesterday, with no change), the card (said to work with Ubuntu 10) is this one -

    Thanks.

When you get to the splash/loader screen hit left or right arrows or other keys and see if you can see any messages.

Thanks. Got it working - although it was working without drivers, installing them sorted the problem.
