So, seeing as other undergrad's have started threads in relation to their own chosen programme I thought I'd start one for the Marine Science Degree undergrad's.
The thread isn't exclusively for Mar Sci, so if you've something to add jump in.

Maybe on this thread, current Marine Science Undergrads can share their experiences of the degree course, and maybe give next Septembers fresher's advice. Or even tell a few auld tales of what to look forward to.

To get the ball rolling I'll introduce myself.
I will be starting Mar Sci next September, and cant wait. I have a real love for the outdoors and especially the marine environment.
The sea holds great wonder for me. I spend a good bit of time each week sailing out around the bay, and all along the west coast.

Physical oceanographic, ocean energy and climate change issue's, are the areas that interest me most at the minute, but I'am really looking forward to broadening my knowledge of the biological aspects of the oceans as well, there's so much to be discovered!

The only nerves I have about starting come September is that as a mature student I will be so much older than my class mates.
I am 32 so I expect to be a good ten years everyone's senior!
Hopefully the fact that I'am a hip 32 year old, snappy dresser with a sharp haircut, will get me accepted quickly with the popular kid's on the course.

Anyway's that's my story over to you.!
