    Hey everyone,
A few months ago I won a "boudoir shoot " with a photographer in Galway.

As somebody with a few body issues I wasn't sure but decided what the hell I had nothing to lose. I had a chat with a few of the girls and we decided we'd not had a weekend away together since my hen party and we decided to do a boudoir party....

Off we went made the trip from Cork to Galway, with a suitcase full of scanties and a few doubts about our bums and tums...

We got our hair done and were told to arrive with a make up less face so the make up artist Malvina could get cracking straight away. Wow what a transformation! From hungover death pale to glamourpuss( well i thought so) I was a bit dubious about getting my bits out but the fact that Clare (the photographer) is a woman and a total professional really helped. We had such a great day and we were given the 5 star treatment.

OH my God how fab was it??? I recently got to see my shots and was so thrilled I never realised that I could look so good without spanx!.
As a ladies lounge regular I am used to seeing posts about how we feel about ourselves and how a comment or a photo can shatter our self esteem.

So in short I was delighted to have done it and feel way better about my lumps and bumps. My husband was also thrilled.

She also does a mama to be photoshoot or your bump and make over ones... think the amkeover shoot might be my next one!!

As far as I know Core photography is the only place at the moment that offers the service but I would totally tell everyone about it! Her website is www.corephotography.ie.

There are a few photographers around specialising in Boudoir. I havent gotten to try shoot a boudoir session myself, would love to do one some day when I have time and a willing subject.

One thing that I love, I did it myself first as all my brides were nervy of it, trash the dress, when you go out in your wedding dress after the big day and just do some really strange couple shots, like bride running away, or having an argument, hitch hiking etc. I loved every minute of mine and I have to say I absolutely adore shooting a Trash the Dress session, its so relaxed and fun as you are doing silly things you wouldnt normally imagine your self doing.

Xiney I actually couldn't believe the person in the shoot was me.... the best thing about the shoot was the photographer showed you a shot or two which really really boosted your confidence whilst the shoot was going on which brought out the minx in me even more i felt :D:D:D:D

How much does it cost? Do you have to bring your own clothes etc? :p

I wouldn't really have any qualms about wearing skimpy clothes but I would be really nervous going to it, especially on my own!

if you email clare@corephotography.ie she will give you a full list of the different options... why don't you get a friend to come with you? Even if she doesn't do the shoot she will be there for support... You bring your own scanties and props!

Smelltheglove - would you mind recommending some boudoir photographers around the east of Ireland (Dublin / Wexford).

I'm a 'curvy' girl, but have always wanted to do something like this - but am terrified that I would look more elephant like!

To be honest, Smelltheglove is a very, very talented photographer herself!

Boudoir stuff looks amazing, a bit out of my budget at the moment!!! :D

I personally love dressing up too, I love pin up, I love the look, the history behind the girls, and the way it makes you feel. I know I don't always smile, but man when I dress up I can't stop smiling because I feel so sexy, I would have loved to have been one of those girls!

My boyfriend loves when I do pin up and I plan on doing it again for my birthday, naval pin up this time I usually do army pin up! I did it first on Halloween 2008 and when I walked in the door one of my boyfriends friend stood up, took off his hat and said "jesus christ, SD You look beast" I NEVER GET THAT!!! :D

It could be the alter ego, but I feel so empowered and sexy when I dress up in pin up! Can't wait for my birthday! :D
