I've read about this on American nutrition websites. Does anyone know what it is exactly and where it's stocked here?

Sprouted grain breads are simply bread made from sprouted grains. The grain (e.g. wheat, rye, etc) is first soaked, then allowed to sprout. The sprouts are then ground up to form the dough for the bread which can either be cooked or dehydrated. Most people dehydrate them using a dehydrator or put them in the sun to dry (this was how sprouted bread was usually prepared).

Thanks Wildboots. Is it possible to buy this type of bread in Dublin?

The Dublin Food Co-op stock some - Sprouted Wheat bread (plain, plus raisin, plus stem ginger), Sprouted Rye and Sprouted Spelt with raisin. I took a note when I was in tonight. I think the brand name is Sunnyvale.
I suspect most health food shops would have some type though.
