Ever Been Flashed At?

Just wondering if anyone here has ever been flashed at before? I remember years ago there was a rumour of a guy who used to hang around our school and flash students sitting beside windows. Needless to say, we were always scanning the alleyways for a man in a large coat when when got the window seat to catch a glimpse but never saw anyone.
I don't think it is as common anymore as it may have been in the past, perhaps as girls/women aren't as shocked easily anymore?

Our school was at the end of a long avenue. There used to be a flasher there sometimes when we were playing games or on Sunday mornings when we had to walk to church. Some of the older girls used to slag him and shout things like "Oh f*** it, you're mickey's crooked!" and he'd run away! :D

I have been flashed at, on at least 6 or 7 occassions, usually by someone involved in a hen night or in a night club, don't mind it too much to be honest

Yeah, when I was a child in a department store I spotted a guy in the changing rooms peeking out and flashing (this was the ladies, btw!). I was kind of shocked but didn't know what to say! My mom spotted him two seconds later and reported him to security.

Then a few years back I was walking to my friend's place in the middle of the day, kind of through a wooded area, and a guy with a motorbike helmet and camera came up and asked me to take a picture of him. I thought it was odd place to want a picture, but I started to oblige...until I looked though the viewfinder to see him start to undo his flies! I put the camera on the ground where I was and ran. The scariest part was a minute later I ran past what must have been his moped and was thinking he would get to it and catch up with me and then what would happen!!!??? He obviously didn't follow me though.

I was flashed at once on my way to christmas morning mass with my mum. Your stereotypical flasher complete with light brown overcoat, undid belt and woah full frontal! we found it hilarious though! Actually i do remember thinking he was quite well endowed, so maybe he was just showing off?

About 10 years ago a middle aged (quite unkempt) man flashed myself and my ex while we stood at a bus stop in Balinteer! My ex roared laughing, I missed the fun, only realised what had happened when he was long gone.

About a year ago I was walking home from a house party in rathmines at about half 12. I walked passed this apartment complex and there was a guy standing at the gates with his trousers down looking straight at me,wa*king. I was completely grossed out!

I was on the bus about a week later,it was late in the evening so the bus was fairly empty. We stopped at traffic lights on O'Connell street and I looked over to the car parked beside us, and the man had his pants down and was fiddling with his mickey, all the while grinning up at me.

That was one crazy week,I saw enough random guy's wieners to last me a life time.

I've seen that guy in Rathmines! If it's the one I'm thinking of he isn't that old either, he's in his 20s.

Did you go to school in cabra?

Yeah I got flashed at the window in school, gardai took myself and another girl out in a squad car looking for him, classmates later told us that he climbed a tree and hid until we left the grounds then went on his merry way!

never been flashed at by randomers on the street

however i work in a psychiatric ward and the odd time a disinhibited patient would wander around naked or ****

never really bothered me, they'd usually be very unwell if they were doing that, so i make allowances for them

I too have had the misfortune to be accosted by this very same wanker, excuse the pun.

Leinster Road, Rathmines. He appears in the gap in the wall and has a little fiddle for himself.

Dirty bastard. It's the creepiest thing ever. It's like he's listening out for the click of the high heels or something and out he pops.

The first time I was so shocked and pretty frightened so I jumped out onto the road and flagged down the next available taxi.

The second time I was pretty jarred so roared at him that he was a disgusting pig and then I rang the Gardaí. I'd actually pay good money to be able to hear that recording. :D

There's a field near our house where we used to walk our dogs, when I was about eight my mum told me not to go there by myself anymore. It wasn't until years later that I found out a flasher had been hanging around a lot. My mum saw him while she was dogwalking, he opened up his coat as she went past and she just said "Oh put it away, it's nothing to be proud of" :D

Some of the locals noticed a pattern, the flasher was always there on a certain day of the week (I think it was Thursdays?) so he was caught. Turned out that the guy was collecting his dole money each week, getting wasted drunk, and then hanging around the field flashing people

    My neighbour does it:rolleyes:

starkers in his living room with the curtains and blinds open for all to see, sometimes he is just wandering around other times he's playing with himself.....its an apartment complex so we are all kinda looking into each others living areas via the glass balcony and glass sliding doors!!

My friend flashed me last night. Often.

    On the flip side....

I had a drunken fool flash me to a bar one night!!!
There I was waiting to order a drink at the bar and he wanders up, grabs the front of my top and yanks it down to my belly button.
    :o

Was so not impressed...neither were his genitals after I gave him a swift "kick"

Yep when 13 years old flashed by a perv  I was with a friend walking to another friend on a path with bushes either side.He pulled up on a bike, ugly dirty bearded man.
I proceeded to tell him what a loser he was and my friend although scared to also followed suit what i was saying.I dont even know where it came from.My mouth just started telling him,he isnt a man and he should be shot and run home and hide in your horrible sick little world.:D Among alot of other things which i cant remember but i laughed and scolded and slagged him.
Needless to say he stopped face in shock turned on his bike and fled.
So if you are in that situation make them feel tiny and your not scared and the chicken will run even from a 13 year old :pac:
When we got to our other friends house we told her mother and she rang the police.Never heard a thing about it from them.Which i think was disgraceful and should have been followed up.

Then another time sitting on a bus outside virgin mega store on the quays in 1997,something drew my attention to outside the bus.I was sitting up stairs.I looked down could see a man with long coat walking with it hanging out.First thought was kids can see that as parent aren't that low down.I got up to go down to tell the bus driver to radio for gardai,he looked up saw me and started running.:pac: I went told the driver he radioed in for garda. As i was getting off bus they caught him on run in town.

Last year in a park, there was a flasher going around loads of reports of him,i havent heard if they ever caught him.
    So yes it happens alot.
Just not many report flashers or you dont see in newspaper.

I have to laugh at the ironic timing of this thread. I had never been flashed in my life - until today that is!

Was driving back to a shop for lunch with a few other co-workers. We were having a bit of a laugh in the van on the way. We came around a corner (we were driving through the Wexford countryside) and there was a group of about 6 girls about 15-16 years old walking towards us on our side of the road. I beeped the horn trying to get them to push into the side of the road (the were walking in the middle of it) when one of them just ripped her bikini top up. To say we were gobsmacked would be an understatement. No one spoke for about 2 minutes until someone said "Please tell me I'm not going crazy and that someone else saw that"

It must be horrible and scary for it to happen to you on your own, but the situation I remember was different - and kinda lighthearted. One day at school between classes (think it was fifth year) a bunch of us looked out the art room window to be greeted with the sight of a guy wearing an anorak zipped up to his nose, hood up, thick-rimmed glasses and tugging away. :pac:
We were all speechless... Nah, we just yelled out repeatedly "Ya ****in' pervert!" and various derivatives thereof. Finishing school for young ladies dontcha know. :pac:

Then the art teacher arrived, an extremely uptight and innocent nun (e.g. she used to go 'round with a ruler measuring our skirts) who was a sitting target for having the piss taken out of her (she was a real sweetie though, bless her - we used to be all apologetic and nice to her if we thought we'd gone too far) and one of the girls exclaimed: "Sister! There was a fella outside looking up at us and he was MASTURBATING!!!" to which she responded by putting her hands to her ears, shaking her head and protesting "Stop saying that word, it's EVIL!!" :pac:

I've never been flashed at, but the guy sitting beside me on a 49 home from town one night decided to have a bit of a pedal'n'crank to pass the time...

Never had it happen to me, but at one point a landlady I had warned me about another tenant of hers being flashed in the area.
I spent months expecting every bloke wearing a trenchcoat to flash me.

I'm a bit away with the fairies, never actually noticed it - there used to be a guy near my secondary school, lasted about a month or two then they must have caught him.

Second time was on a tram in berlin, 5 girls - my friend was beside him and i was beside her, our three friends sitting across from him. One of the girls sitting across from him remembers looking at him and thinking he was really shifty looking (stank of drink and had a crooked eye), he was staring at them and she thought 'imagine he had a gun or something in his hand', she looks down and his crooked mickey is hanging out. He got off behind us at our stop and they walked away really fast and I hadn't a clue.

I've always had narrow escapes. She saw 3 guys **** in public when she was in italy.

Idk how I'd react, I'd like to think I'd confront them, to show they can't scare women, but I think I'd be in too much shock, especially if it happened when I was on my own!

I was walking along the North Circular road a few years ago and just glanced up at one of the houses to see a middle-aged bald fat man **** in the window and grinning at me

I'll never get that picture out of my head...

flashed years ago at a Dublin bus stop by an old lad, actually wasn't technically flashed as he was sitting at the bus stop **** and just turned as I came up tp the stop so I could see what he was doing....lovely.....walked on to the next bus stop and when I got on he was passed out asleep at the back of the bus.

Flash twice by the same guy in as many minutes about a year ago. Walking home saw some odd looking lad running around and getting weird looks from cars stopped at a light. It was only when I'd walked past that I noticed he's manhood was hanging out of his pants, caught the eye of one of the drivers who gave me a WTF look then pointed up the road and I saw the guy had run around the back of the houses and was now at the top of the road so I got to walk past him again  He seemed very put out that I didn't react either time to him.

It must be a Wexford thing. I'm totally guilty of similiar offenses... though I made sure I was far, far away from home, and in a place no one could ever find me, know me, and quite possibly no one saw me!

A bunch of times. The first was when I was 7 or 8 and was walking to school with my little brother. The guy was standing naked in the side entrance of his garden wearing a long wig and **** himself. We had no idea what he was doing, in fact we were so innocent we initially thought it was a woman because of the long hair. Then we saw what he had in his hand. We thought it was hilarious but our parents weren't too amused. Afair the guards were called.

It happened again when I was was 13/14 and walking with 2/3 friends of the the same age. This guy was right out in his front garden. We just started roaring laughing at it and ran off.

The next time was on a school tour to Germany. We were driving on the coach through Belgium when a truck driver who was driving in the next lane kept pace with the bus while having a ****. I really feel for the poor teachers having to cope with a bus of 50/60 teenage girls, some who were upset, most who were feeding on the excitement. The teachers went around pulling all of the curtains and trying to get the license plate and calm everyone down.

It happens a lot in places like Templebar. I remember getting flashed 3 times in the space of an hour some years back. 2 were separate stag nights but one was a dirty, pervy guy who was clearly getting a thrill out of it.

yeah - I was flashed a last summer walking through St Stephens Green - near the Wolfe Tone monument. An oldish guy just letting it all hang loose in the early afternoon.

And a few years ago, I was on a train to Bondi Junction in Sydney, only a few of us in the compartment. There was a guy in his late fifties across the aisle from me tossing himself & staring straight at me. Needless to say, I moved quite quickly!

Yes. My school was beside a river and we'd walk down it to go to the gym where we had aerobics classes. There was a guy who would hang around the opposite side of the river and flash people going by. He had one hand on his hoo-ha and one was waving at us and his pants were down. I think something was wrong in his head as he had a smile on his face and he looked like he was happy. I rang the Guards to report him, don't know what ever happened to him.

It happens to me a lot actually, my local park is sometimes home to a few harmless nutters who enjoy flashing.

When it happens usually I squint at it and go "aww, that's nice"

It happened to my ma and she told him to put it away before he caught a cold :pac:

Anyone remember this creepy little fella that used to sit on the DART, commando with his zip down? It started about 5 years ago but he probably still does it. He looked like middle eastern & had glasses. He would ALWAY sit opposite a few teenage girls and just pretend nothing was happening. The first couple of times I would look away or get uncomfortable but then I just started yelling at him & slagging him and the girls would laugh and he would get off and I assume, try another carriage.

About 6 years ago with my then girlfriend walking down the quays, some old homeless dude decided to whip his lad out and give it a shake in our direction while laughing. Was a bit in shock but brushed it off, my girlfriend was a bit emotional at it all but soon passed.

Was flashed by a few women years back, loved it!
