Anyone know of any decent site that contains these stats for fouls committed and by whom during the WC?? Have fiver on Mascherano placed before the tournament @ 16/1 to commit the most fouls, and going by todays game he should be should be near the top :pac:

    Cheers

BBC website gives individual player stats(inc fouls), May not be ideal but I'm sure anyone can think of a few of the dirtier players out there.

I was very surprized the other day when I noticed V.Bommell had not been booked in the WC(yet)! I bet on him getting booked in nearly every champs league game from 1/4 finals on last season :D

I can't believe a fellow red backed monster masch for most bookings :p I know the media protray him as being dirty but I reckon if you look at his stats(not just in WC) and look at ratio of attempted tackles to fouls you may be surprized that it isn't very high. He could attempt 10X more tackles than anyone else though so still could have most fouls ;)

Masch was the only positive from the Argie perspective yesterday, he was fighting a losing battle in midfield but he never gave up until the yellow card(which I had money on too :o:p) I feel.

Shocked by that Van Bommel stat as well in truth.

I've not really seen much of the dutch this WC as their matches have all seemed to be on when Im working. Got a chance to see bits and pieces of Friday's game and he seemed to be in the thick of it, slabbering at ref n stuff whenever I got my eyes on it so I don't know if on a whole he's been behaving himself

I still backed him to get booked on Friday and I'll do the same for Tuesday and the final if they get there :D

Going by ESPN soccernet the most fouls committed have been really surprising going by the top 10...

    1Keisuke Honda

    2
    Rory Fallon

    3Gerardo Torrado

    4Diego Pérez

    5Arturo Vidal

    6
    Sergio Ramos

    7Luis Suárez

    8Mark Van Bommel

    9Javier Mascherano

    10Abou Diaby

Maybe Van Bommel decided to let loose after the group games then :pac: He could still top the list yet though!

I dunno, but few of them dont match up with BBC's stats so you may want to double check with another site.

I had a look at a few very quickly, think Honda on 11, Fallon on 16, Masch on 14 according to BBC

Dunno how V Bommel wasn't sent off the other night  Dirty bastard! Even Johny Giles thinks he's a dirty player .... thats saying something :D
